Cont: That’s why we were stunned when some of our advertising for the festival was removed by the local bus company, whose double-decker buses carried our banners that read,”Time for Hope”. He goes on to explain why all this is happening and asking for prayers from everyone.

I get Franklin Graham’s Decision magazine every month and the more recent one he has articles in there about the problems the team has encountered so far and is asking everyone to pray for this festival for God. One pastor is standing with him and giving encouragement and other churches are calling for their people to attend the meeting and give support. So I will pray.
Here is an excerpt from his own words.”Like people in our own country, the English people are facing Challenges on multiple fronts, with the growing influence of Islam, unemployment and rising crime. In fact, Blackpool,( where this is going to be held) has been identified as a”crime hotspot “and has the forth highest murder rate in all of the Uk. Sexual assault and domestic violence exceed national averages, and alcohol and drug abuse are a growing problem in a city where life expectancy is the lowest in the Uk.

@ Allie. I totally agree with you and thank you for sharing your thoughts. God has placed us where we are at and expects us to bloom where we are at this moment. We carry the name of Christ and should live our lives like we do. I want my light to shine I want to help people by sharing what Christ has brought into my life, joy unspeakable and full of glory. If I am practicing sin (living together without marriage, homosexual marriage, and any other sin in our lives that is causing us to be in bondage) We will fail at times but know it and immediately turn to Him for forgiveness. He discplines those that are his children until they learn some very important lessons. I have been there and it is not a pleasant place to be. I turn to Christ and even grow during these because He discplines out of His love for His own. Read Hebrews and the lives of his own disciples, Peter who was told by Paul how wrong he was when he refused to eat with the Gentiles when he was around his friends the Judaizing Jews that were sent by James. Galatians 2:11-14. That’s why I have morning Devotionals to prepare for whatever I have to face that day.

I am not a fan of John MacArthur.(JohnUk ‘s words rings true to me as well) either. He has a book out called Strange Fire which I believe has caused a lot of confusion about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.(and who is the author of confusion and would benefit most by this) We are not saved by works but by faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. We come to Him empty with nothing to offer but ourselves..In our walk with Him we start a life of being santified(under construction).to help me with this I am given power of the Holy Spirit .As A W Tozer puts it in his book Alive in the Spirit.
My journey began,of course, with my conversion and was accented by my being filled with the Holy Spirit. That however was only the beginning. From that moment on, I have been walking in fellowship with God..Not a perfect walk,I assure you. Those who claim to have a perfect walk probably do not understand the scriptures in this regard. The fact that my walk is not perfect has encouraged me to always fall back on the Holy Spirit and His guidance and strength. Unquote Couldn’t have said it better.

When I got sick as a kid, my mom gave me a spoonful of castor oil. Cure all for every disease even when the doctor came and gavel me other meds?!!. And even when I had pneumonia she still tried to hide it in orange juice because by then I had started refusing to take it no way!! They had a lot of remedies back then that I even used on my kids, minus the castor oil. sometimes.

Mom and her 9 siblings lived long lives and her parents lived to be in their 80s.I have read about soda being a cure all for things. Maybe they are going back to old remedies now.🤭

I agree with Lurker and others about John McCain not being a true Republican and has been one of those that has made things hard for Trump. He is our President doing the best he can with opposition coming not only from the Dems but from some of his own party. I really believe God put him in power for a reason and needs our prayers. I cringe when I think of Hillary being our president.
Is he a perfect man? No, and neither was one of another decorated Navy man Jimmy Carter who admitted to having lust in his heart and we know what Jesus said about that. Another one, Bill Clinton, John Kennedy, Franklin D Roosevelt had a mistress, John Q Adams had a slave girl as his mistress.
So yes, he has feet of clay and I stand with him and support him as our President .

I really was saying that about the leading as a “tongue-in-cheek “ type thing. Just thought it good that we all thought along the same way.At least I felt it strongly. No big deal at all. God ‘s blessings and a good night. For me it is bedtime, that is.

Rnel , I have a friend who was never in church or taught about religion and even now so regrets that she missed out and only found God later in her adult life. She dreamed that she was in Hell and it was so vivid and frightened her so much that she gave her life to God, got saved and is devoted to learning the Bible and things of God. God bless you .

I have been reading about men that realized the importance of the power involved in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and how important it is in the life of the Christian, JohnUk. One was AW Tozer . He has a book that is just about his filling and explains in detail the purpose of Baptism in the Holy Spirit. DL Moody another one and Jonathan Edwards, all great men of God. Can’t remember all the names but it was an amazing number that wrote about it .No haven’t read anything about that but sounds interesting. DL Moody refers in his book Baptism of the Holy Spirit how preachers and others are missing the power that is so needed even back then. The same power that you were talking about. Amazing Grace
Yes, we do need a Holy Ghost revival where the fire from heaven falls on the people and souls are saved like in the old days.

I know JohnUk, Dr Tim and me too are not led always to speak by the Spirit ‘s leading especially when he starts talking about his 🐐 .
However it sure beats some leadings on here. I keep thinking where did that remark come from?? The links they keep digging up trying to find one to match the thoughts?? As for me. Well, we won’t go there. I do the best I can and still I step on somebody’s toes.

Death is destroying all around, in so many forms, and so suddenly, that it is madness not to expect and prepare for the close of life. Matthew Henry
So true John Uk and Rnel, instead of them getting all huffy(John Uk’s word which fits well here) and self righteous, they should be on their knees asking God’s forgiveness for their sins and getting prepared for eternity.

Dr. Tim, your thoughts were apparently coming from the Holy Spirit because we (Wayfarer Pilgrim) and I had the same thoughts.
Reminds me of the warnings Jesus gave his followers John 15:18-25. And the last words in 25 says it in a nutshell,”They hated me without a cause.”

Wayfarer Pilgrim, I was thinking exactly what you just commented. The ones that are living in darkness hates the light because it reveals their sins so they want to destroy that Light. They love their sins more than God. I have read many books by Dodson. He and his wife have been an inspiration to me for years. Never a word of scandal from either one. God bless them for taking a stand against sin.

The color of the ice cream reminds me of picture that a friend put on Facebook (yes I admit I am on there with friends from the town I moved from and new friends Ihave found here) anyway, the picture showed a an aborted baby lying in a small amount of water. Couldn’t see his head. A hand was holding the almost developed baby’s tiny hand and arm. The man that did the abortion said (you could read what beneath the photo) quote, this one is big enough to walk me to the store. Doesn’t make sense but it was a heartless remark. I can still see the limp gray little hand on the hand that was holding it and will never forget if.And now this !!

Rev1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Vs4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne.
The name of the sermon,”Check Your Inbox “ Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven churches:to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea” Revelation 1:11
He explained the bad and good in each of these churches that was revealed by John. Brother Jeff ‘s question to us,”What is God saying to us from the letters to the churches? I personally love hearing Revelation preached on. Sermon was very helpful and I still have the notes I wrote down.

What I like is that Franklin doesn’t mince words or back off speaking out against evil even if means losing the support of others. We need that now that SBC has messed up with this new President that’s not good. Our pastor has started preaching about sinful life styles more than he ever has and is losing members (Tares maybe?) because of it. Preaching in Revelation now and last Sunday was on messages to the 4 churches. We are living in some evil times and we need to keep in mind who the real enemy is, amen?? !!
