A 6 year old child was found in the original epicenter months ago, with his grandpa dead inside for almost a week.
When the police asked why he did not run outside to ask for help, he said "Grandpa told me to stay inside"

Having been back home, I have used facebook, normally banned. And I've seen denial that judgement could never come to America, and peoples facebook posts reflected that, more games, more idolatry, I had always told my friends, how would a north korean believer feel when they see what you post? I've seen then regret, but no repentance, people, turning to music to calm themselves down, but not to prayer. I have seen funerals where unbelievers are sent to heaven by their friends. These are just my observations on north american culture. I can only wait upon the Lord, and let Him do what is,right

I'm celebrating easter with her, on different continents, but together in Christ 😊

I was encouraged by what I learned during passover that the Lamb was supposed to be eaten on the very day, so that it would not rot and spoil and "see corrupton". Christ as the passover lamb is the most important thing in my life recently.

As far as your question on missions, I do agree with you, I would go even further that we should quarantine some immature people from the mission field for they cause more harm than good. As to what is to be done, spiritual revival begins first in the church, in jerusalem, then spreads to judea, samaria, and then to the world. I pray for unity in all churches, that each person would participate in making their local church grow.

Many christians are realizing that their faith is built on sand. When people were suffering in other parts of the world, they were dancing in church, having giant spiritual slumber parties, playing video games, doing useless short term missions never to return or having a burden.

I pray this easter month more people would follow after Christ to calvary, and become mature christians.

So there is a national holiday dedicated to the death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ, and you want it to stop? Next time someone says why the western culture is in apostasy, I will point fingers at YOU.

We are allowed to worship the word of God, because Jesus is the living word of God.

We are allowed to stalk our lord during the passion week.

We are allowed to celebrate passover just as Jesus did, breaking unleavened bread and understanding the meaning behind it.

I truly believe slander is the sin of the modern American church. God has many rods to judge with, not just war, and we are seeing it today.

Kirk Cameron is a wonderful servant of God, whose movie "Fireproof" did so much good for the world. To call him a liberal and works based is simply a lie from hell. To call him greedy and opportunistic is also a lie. You both have committed great sins, "Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? (Job 38:2 ESV)

Here is my advice to anyone who wants to be humbled by God, a prayer that He always answers, and so few actually pray it:

"Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!"
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24

I honestly don't understand how printing more money works... it defies all logic. Resources are finite, a lot of demand, will increase their price, making things unaffordable.

I know a few Italians who regret that hug a chinese thing, let's not beat them over the head with it, instead we need to show love, care, forgiveness, and hope. Every Italian person has lost someone dear during all of this, it's a time of mourning for many, how would you feel if I came to your funeral and paraded all of your sins?

Every society on earth has sinned and condemned the world. This world is ruled by devils, and their demonic powers. It's a kingdom of darkness, with very little light. Be a city that shines on a hill. Go love someone

exactly what's done is done. With Nearly 3 months to prepare for this, you can't blame Bill Gates anymore.

With that said, Osteen is known as a motivational speaker, it's a reputation he rightfully earned, his place is known to give comfortable words to relieve worldly anxiety.

agree or disagree with him, he worked hard to earn this reputation.

What are you known for? Is your pastor/elders approachable? What is the reputation of your church? Joel Osteens congregation tithes a lot of money to him, what percentage of your church tithes? Don't get jealous, get repentant.

Nothing can quench a missionary's burden. In this waiting time, either the desire will grow until it's unstopable, or it will die out. Mission orgs should cater to the former, and ignore the latter.

The article says this:
"Some Christians who traveled for mission trips over spring break in early March were left stranded and still have not returned home, including dozens in Guatemala, Honduras, and Peru, which is sparring with the US over whether to let Americans fly back."

If you are a real church, what happened here is a blessing. Why would anyone want to run away from the mission field, especially after all those fundraisers, sob stories, and desperatly trying to pursuade people to send $?

1000 in new york asked to quarantine. This plague will show the world just how "undeveloped" the developed world actually is.

Someone mentioned Psalm 91: "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
Psalms 91:10‭-‬11

But just like the devil who used this during the temptation of Jesus, it's out of context. The Bible was not written to us, but it is written for us. The application of that verse applies to the people it was written to.

"Lord, we have been so ignorant of the suffering of our brethren in Africa, Middle East, India, North Korea, Brazil, Mexico, we have failed to be responsible stewards of the grace of prosperity you had given us. Using it to help us enjoy sin, rather than for your kingdom. God has many rods of chastening, not just war. Give your elect the strenght to glorify you for another day."

Im so sad now, sad because I sent a newsletter to 60 close friends asking them to tell their pastor to pray for me, and only 3 replied with well wishes, but did not actually ask their church to pray.

Yeah I only visit canada once a year, since im abroad most of the time.

Missionaries are chosen on their ability to raise funds, churches only care about their members, congregation is itself sick, and has no time to care, and the healthy are too distracted with click bait headlines.

I think Douglas Fir is really asking for an answer? I would say hold on to the all the doomsday thoughts, this virus is not yet that bad , people are surviving it and moving on with life especially outside of China. At times like these it is best to turn off the Tv, cnn, fox, etc and communicate instead with missionaries who are affected by all of this.

Some good news, my friend who is a local to the epicenter of wuhan, is getting better, no more fever. God is good and can heal! She is lonely though. And many more are recovering according to Internet reports.

I'm still separated from a loved one until march or april, as every foreigner must self quarantine themselves for 2 weeks after arrival, which I won't risk doing.

I'm trying to encourage myself like King David did:

"Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God." (1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV)

All public schools are canceled with no idea when they will be opened, including mine. A lockdown of all metro cities is imminent.

China is officially a no go zone, any sneeze, cough, or allergy at the airport would alert the guards

This sux 😖

A city next to mine is on lockdown. No public transportation is allowed.

This is not good news, because this city (hebei province) is very far away from the epicenter (hubei province). This means it's also near the capital city of Beijing.

"Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your heart to my knowledge; So that your trust may be in the Lord ; I have instructed you today, even you."
Proverbs 22:17‭, ‬19 NKJV
