"In the beginning God created the heavens & the earth". Genesis 1:1. And in Genesis 1:31 we read, "So God saw everything that He had made and indeed it was very good. So the evening & the morning were the sixth day". Here God's Word clearly teaches that the earth was created in six, 24 hour, days. Not six million years. And then there's these people who say, well what about 2 Peter 3:8? "But beloved do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day". MANY people use this to justify "theistic evolution". And so they'll just say we don't know. Really? OK let's try something radical, let's THINK for a second. Go back to the story of Jonah & the whale, Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three thousand years? No, of course not he was in there for three days right? So why do we have such a hard time understanding Genesis? I would recommend "The Secularlization of America" by Ken Ham.
Granted, to most people, thinking, actually using their brains, is a pretty radical concept. There's some pretty good TV shows, yeah there's junk on it, I really hardly ever watch it. And while I do have a problem with porn, I have a bigger problem with Darwinism.
No GS, these statistics aren't a joke. I'm a Southerner, & let me tell you, there's a lot of religious people down here. There's a lot of moral people down here. There's not a lot of Christ down here.
Bill Nye is the most component enemy of Christianity. Ken has a lot of courage to take him on. I heard the debate, it was so good I actually might be an apologist instead of naturopath. Great job Ken.
Because, do you know HOW I got into witchcraft? Because of the lies I was told. I was told that witches were these crazy, sex crazed people who sacrificed family pets & cursed people. When I learned the opposite was true, I became curious, curiosity gave in to obsession. I feel if people knew the truth, they wouldn't make my mistake. If I'm offending/annoying anyone I sincerely apologize.
Hi Anne! It's really great to hear from you! It really depends on what you mean by "good". Yes there are lots of "good" witches in terms of morality. But in the Christian sense of righteousness, no. I learned everything I knew off of a website called "The Witches Voices" (as your little brother in Christ let me warn you, DON'T go there!) I never bought any books so I've got nothing to burn.
OK CAB, here I must lay some introductory groundwork. First, most of what you know about witchcraft is a lie. Witches don't sacrifice animals or worship Satan. Satanists on the other hand do worship Satan (duh right?) and I THINK they do sacrifice animals. My point being there's a HUGE difference between witchcraft & satanism. Now with that being said I don't know how role playing works. In that I don't understand how it has the influence it has. However I can tell you that most people who play role playing games end up as satanists, not witches. As for sickening your animals, let me offer some advice, relax. Satanists are incapable of casting spells. Only witches can. And remember the witches rede? Here's the thing, these black witches have A LOT of trouble getting their spells to work, the theory that witches have come up with is that when you begin to use magic to harm, it will not work (same goes with curses, curses are a myth) Sorry I couldn't help on the role playing.
I got into witchcraft all on my own. And white witches & black witches differ in that white witches hold "The Witches Rede" which says "do whatever you want, as long as it hurts no one". Black witches do not keep "The Witches Rede". White & black magic are very different. You cast spells in completely different ways. I hope that helps.
CAB, how much do you know about witches? I've played around with magic before. I've casted a few spells (BTW it's real, magic is real) And let me tell you, the witches in my town are a whole lot more moral than 95% of churchgoers. But are they saved?
