The bibles I read through, have no commentaries, footnotes, concordances, etc...all these are additions to the word added to by fallible men! Don't get me wrong some things they say would be right but even the devil used scripture against Christ but not as it as intended, can you put you faith in any man in any dictionary in any commentary wholly and fully, if you are wise the answer is no. I need only Gods word given inspired, preserved, copied and translated by Gods Spirit. I need not the original Greek ,Hebrew or Aramaic notice it hasn't worked out so great for them even if they had the originals, some killed their redeemer, others have departed from him worshipping graven images, Saints, Mary and who knows what else, Thanks but no thanks I have the infallible uncorrupted word in my hands and with the Holy Spirit that's all that's required for me to know the truth.1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Praise |

No Loire I said it's never what I think or you or anyone else thinks that matters It's only what God thinks that matters and this is found in his word made alive in us by his Holy Spirit to know and understand it maybe this helps 1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. And 2 Corin 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. I'm like all men fallible, I trust no man not even myself we all make mistakes I trust God ,Jesus the Bible KJV, I trust His Spirit to teach me and guid me in His truth People can be sincere but they can be sincerely wrong Praise the Lord |

Lurker writes: Dave,A couple verses....... Deut 30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. Ezek 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. Read the context. No indication God asks for permission. These are pretty hard to argue against so the freewillers just ignore them. Deut 30:2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; 3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. When does the Lord do these things, when you've returned unto thy God..Repented! And Obeyed.....THEN, THEN THE LORD THY GOD WILL DO THESE THINGS CONTINUING TO VERSE 6 Ezekiel 36 is all about and fulfilled in you when you are in Christ , Jesus is the living water it is He that cleanses us, being made a new creature with a new heart and spirit Praise the Lord |

John UK from Wales writes: I believe that any theological orientation that diminishes either God's sovereignty or mans' responsibility will inevitably lead to a heretical understanding of God's plans. The first will lead to arminianism, the second to hyper Calvinism. Note, Romans 10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. God says he was "found" by sinners who were not seeking him. Mystery? Sure it is. But there is an explanation. Your first paragraph confirms what I have been saying all along, we are in a partnership with God Yes God is sovereign yes it is God that saves, but he saves no one against their own will. His will is for us to be holy be saved but he does not force His love upon you like you cannot force your wife to love you True love is freewill to do so As for Romans10:20 before you were saved ever look at clouds and wonder how they stay there or how stars seem to be in such order ever look at birds and animals and wonder about how perfectly they are formed, did you ever see a new born child and see the wonder of life , you nay not have been searching for God in any of these things but when you question there distance and where they come from you will fi |

Dave from Oz writes: We most certainly have no free will in salvation, according to Ephesians, and john, by the will of god it says not by the will of man. Man most certainly has freewill Dave. Even in salvation, he can either choose to accept or reject Gods gift, he can either choose to be holy or not, The word freewill is mentioned the OT ,LEV DEUT, EZRA ETC, especially concerning freewill offerings We no longer offer up bulls and goats and such but we offer up of our own freewill ourselves PSALMS 119:108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments. Romans12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. A living sacrifice...holy...our reasonable service Praise the Lord I will answer Eph and John below |

Dave from Oz writes: We most certainly have no free will in salvation, according to Ephesians, and john, by the will of god it says not by the will of man. Ephesians1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, Paul was no longer a in believer washed only on the outside but was now transformed a true believer walking in the holiness of Gods spirit and word now having the living word in him he writes to other saints. We can go verse by verse in Ephesians about the predestined and the florid aimed but it's always the true believers of God that it refers to which is so explained to any that would see in verse 13 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Praise the Lord |

Dave from Oz writes: We most certainly have no free will in salvation, according to Ephesians, and john, by the will of god it says not by the will of man. John1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.What is the will of God...look at the verse before...that we would "believe on his name." 2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. If you call yourself a Christian, you believe on his name you take the name of Christ then you are to depart from iniquity , go and sin no more! You are to be holy as He is Holy... 1 Thess 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification If you take Christ out of Christian all you left with is Ian and Ian can't save you Praise the Lord |

Dave from Oz writes: As the whole incident shows, it's by god's will that Phillip was there to be used by the Holy Spirit to quicken the eunuch.and was removed when job done. He was already reading Isaiah being drawn by god.If you read the passage the eunuch went to Jerusalem to worship, who do you think he went to worship in Jerusalem but the Hebrew God... Like Cornelius the Roman centurion who was already a devout man, God fearing, prayerful, just and of good report.... He had not heard the gospel till Peter delivered it to him then he and his whole house Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The Holy Ghost fell on ALL them that HEARD what Peter was speaking. Let them that have ears hear what the Spirit is saying Praise the Lord |

John from Uk wrote He was wounded for our transgressions Bruised for our iniquitiesNow if you were to go and tell all that you meet this message, you will find that very few, if any, will believe it. Indeed, many will tell you that they are not sinners. They do not have transgressions, no iniquities. They will say, "How dare you call me a sinner?" I humbly disagree John I believe if you read that text from Isaiah to most people and ask them who this person is, THEY will more often than not say it is Jesus, then you can explain how this text was written 700 years before Christ walked on the earth and like Phillip did to the eunuch explain the gospel and fulfilling work of Christ. If they are repulsed by you calling them a sinner, well just ask them Ever told a lie Ever stolen something even a pencil Ever lusted after a person in your heart Ever taken the name of Jesus in vain........ They'll see they've Sinned and that they are sinners, whether they realise or accept they need saving though, that I'll be a question of ho much do they love they're sin or does their pride prevent them from repenting and believing. All have a conscience it means Con- with Science- knowledge All are conscience of doing wrong but not all will be humbled and seek Gods mercy by conf |

No no no ....I used to see this stuff and think like these posts, but now every time I see garbage like this all I know is JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON REEEEEEAAAAAAAL SOON. Don't let it get you down, just know Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. LOOK UP LOOK UP He's coming Praise the Lord |

John from UK wroteGod, they all need to hear about Jesus, who is mighty to save all that come unto God by him. God now commandeth all men everywhere to repent, so repent ye and believe the gospel said Jesus. This is all that God requires. He that believeth and is baptised shall Wow John that sounds like something I would say!!!! Only thing when I say it.......KAPOW BUT Mathew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Praise the Lord |
