This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Pastor Steve was titled "Permanent Marker/Yahweh El Olam" from Genesis 20;21:22-34. After the worship service there was a lunch where a woman missionary who was raised in my Baptist Church gave an update on her missionary activities. She currently resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She goes to India to spread the Gospel of salvation of Jesus.
Dr. Tim wrote: But voodoo is hunky-dory, right, John?
Voodoo is not hunky-dory with the Catholic Church. This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon was given by a retired Pastor(because Pastor Steve is still on vacation) who moved to Hastings, Minnesota from California to be near his daughter. The sermon was titled "The Supremacy of Jesus Christ" from Hebrews 1.
Any Christian on this website who does not vote for Trump to be reelected will be responsible for the evil that descends upon this nation if the Democrats take over. If all Christians vote for Trump to be reelected then the Democrats will be unable to take over.
Neil wrote: This man strains a gnat and swallows a camel. Of course voluble Trump is no Eisenhower, but how about longstanding political name-calling and threats by Democrats and even street violence by their terrorist subsidiary Antifa? These too diminish our national life. While individual Catholics may support conservative causes, you can bank on Catholic clerics supporting Progressive causes almost every time, and have been since the New Deal at least. I think "Family Planning" is the *only* exception. Encyclical Rerum Novarum outlines first principles of progressive "Christian Democracy."
Catholic teaching is against abortion, homosexuality, homosexual marriage and every other perversion.
This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Associate Pastor Neil(because Pastor Steve is still on vacation) was titled "God Satisfying Sacrifice" from 1 John 4:10; Mark 14:22-26; 1 Corinthians 11:27. The sermon was about how Jesus sacrifice on the cross guaranteed that mankind could go to Heaven because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross. The Lord's Supper was also celebrated. I partook of the Lord's Supper after confessing my sins directly to Jesus.
At my Baptist Church a lady friend's deceased husband was a Boy Scout Troop Leader and he molested some of the boys in troop. He repented years ago and became a Christian and attended my Baptist Church. He passed away before I started attending my Baptist Church.
Christopher, This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Associate Pastor Neil(because Pastor Steve is on vacation) was titled "Jehovah Tsidkonu/The Lord Is Our Righteousness" from Jeremiah 23:5-6. It was about that Jesus righteousness defends us and that we can rejoice in salvation as part of God's people and that in Jesus righteousness we are enough.
