this is strange one -how could he be threatened by the very type of people his father laughed with and the party share power -a lot of people over here reckon its a big red herring to give the young paisley a bit of kudos in preparation for the elections- most people are no longer fooled by thses stunts.Remember also that no member of the present paisley family ever served in the police or armyand whilst he wants increased security what about the police officers and unionists living along the border in daily peril of their existence

The bible is very clear on the matter both in the old and new testaments regarding sodomy.Whilst mere men creatures of the dust would seek to undermine the veracity of GOD`s holy word ,his truth still remains unchanged.
It is however somewhat ironic that the fpc should on two occasions loose their case against the ASA.
The story of achan`s sin that rendered Israel powerless in the face of their enemies comes to mind. The funding of sodomy by the so called N.I. assembly when the former moderator Ian Paisley held the position of so called first minister has parallels with the aforementioned. No victory can be achieved for the Lord and his precious word when double standards are not dealt with biblicaly.I fear that this will be the case if this matter is brought before a high court if errors are not confessed and dealt with

one hour with the beast.Brown is non-believer but will use anything or anybody to keep him is the position he dearly loves that of the most incompetent prime minister the uk has ever had to suffer. He is against liberty and has lead a gvt addicted to ever removing the freedoms this nation proudly fought for.
May God remove this wicked gvt promptly.

The,- er- former moderator of the fpc laughed and chuckled with one of the leaders of the IRA when they took on the joint roles of first ministers of Northern Ireland. This organisation the Ira responsible for the most barbarous acts of murder against innocent people in Northern Ireland Enniskillen, omagh and the Darkley mission hall, where the members were singing `are you washed in the blood`before they were mowed down, halmarks of IRA butchery
In the stand against error this double standard must be addressed .
You cannot condemn one particular sin whilst deceitfuly abandoning another in the pursuit of fame and political gain.
Had they been consistent in their approach then a degree of credence could be attached to their standard.
Now their trumpet cannot even make any sound due the glaring hole of hypocracy allowing all hot air to escape.
The bible speaks clearly on Sodomy as well as lying, murder, false prophets, idle shepherds and hirlings.
The fpc cannot be selective about sin they have not set their house in order hence ichabod. Only Ivan Foster and a few more fp ministers spoke against the sin Ian Paisley visited on the long suffering people of this beloved land called Northern ireland.A faithful people will yet arise from these ashes of compromise

Jonah was taught a lesson from G-d by the gourd in the exercise of divine mercy, however Ian Paisley always sought the pre-eminence and so his recent comments only seek to place himself on a pinnacle of self importance with the false appellation of a later day prophet.
Ichabod seems appropriate amongst the betrayed people

ian paisley needs to set his own house in order before calling for repentance.Does not his sad actions in the recent past remove from him any spiritual legitimacy to speak on the nation`s condition.Sanctimonious sound bites cut no ice with a betrayed people. At least Joseph not only interptreted dreams but offered practical solutions to the impending shortages for Egypt`s people, and in doing so Joseph sought no grand position for himself, but was promoted nevertheless. When Ian Paisley was asked what other advice he could give apart from a call to repentance his reply `no comment`.I think those two words speak volumes .

to jim lincoln
I would not be absolutely sure on his support for israel in the way people would like to believe.
Germany calling was one of his comments to Jewish reporter following paisley on his visit to Africa some years ago. This programme was aired on the bbc.No reason to my knowledge was ever given for this comment whether in jibe or jest.Still to me it was very distasteful. You may find some revealing insights in a book, the author being from London and a close religious friend of Paisley. You have to do some digging

after the betrayal his decline was very rapid, from being removed as moderator,as leader of his political party, and at last first minister. Was his gross treachery to the weary deceived and oppressed unionists and faithful believers really worth it.What did it achieve to put killers in power akin to bin laden et al was that God`s perfect will -I doubt not.About three of his ministers spoke against his actions based on sound biblical doctrine. The rest were silent. The Free presbyterian church will also decline as it cannot be trusted to defend the faith once delivered to the saints against a concerted onslaught from the military wing of the church rome aka ira.
This province will see none of the promised good times perdicted by paisley but rather God`s judgement. When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, when the wicked rule the poeple mourn. This sad land has yet to be shed many many tears

for he whist not that the spirit had departed from him.A fancy bus tour will not change anything. You cannot be trusted with God`s truth on the one hand and yet laugh with enemies of truth and murderers of innocents-God does not use people with such values. He obviously yearns for the days long ago when people viewed him as steadfast and reliable,he has betrayed his trust and so the harvest

to His Will be done
A true analysis it has been a long time coming, the rot started about 16yrs ago and oh how fast has been the decline. The fpc ministry is finished no longer accounted worthy of God`s Presence, they sought to worship a self centered demagogue -and so the harvest. There will a church faithful and true well acquainted with scriptural truth to be accounted worthy in these days of deceit and man worship, and it will never be the fpc or should it be called Ichabod.

The best news the long suffering people of Northern Ireland have had for a very long time. His leadership was deceitful and self serving. His word was NOT his bond over my dead body and never never plan B etc etc were some of the gross acts of betrayal visited on the dear people of Northern Ireland by this demagogue.
We the people are not fools our trust is in God Almighty and not the foolish arm of a self appointed Moshe.A true and honest party is already in the making bound to have no association with terrorists

mr hranek
only those who have been the victims of Ian Paisley`s gross error can really articulate their sorrow.Your words of caution are true indeed, these sentinments being expressed in the prayer the LORD taught his disciples.
However in the Old Testiment no words of sympathy were used regarding King Jeroboam, he being a leader of the people, over and over he is a known Jeroboam who taught Israel to sin.
Nathan the prophet delievered God`s words to David --thou art the man.The sad situation in our sorry land is that only for a very few faithful men have preached against Paisley`s arrogant errors. His own clerics hide their heads in the sand pretending that nothing has happened whilst their Moderator openly and happly associates with bloody unrepentent men.Faithful are the wounds of a friend ,Paul rebuked Peter to his face for he was to be blamed.By this reckoning Paisley has few friends.`--ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward--` see Thomas Manton`s commentary on Jude.

Mr morrison whilst I find your compassion for Ian Paisley quite laudable, I for one will most certainly not be praying for this individual.
His actions could not be attributed lack of biblical knowledge, nor the lack of prayers offered up by many faithful people on his behalf.Pride and presumption have been this man`s credo.
The silence of his fellow clerics in the face of this man`s gross error, makes their adventures in preaching the gospel an absolute effrontery to my Saviour`s precious name.Ephriam has joined himself to idols leave him alone. I will earnestly pray for the many faithful people he has betrayed to give them the zeal to leave this dying cult
