Mathew 5:34-37 (esv) But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot one hair white or black. Let what you say be simply 'yes' or 'no'; any more than this comes from evil.
What appears to be the case, although I'm not certain about it, is that he shows the fruit of a unitarian universalist. Which allows one to claim they are "christian". The fruit tells the story. Sadly many would rather listen to words, them look at fruit.

Seek his face continually.
To which I have need of lately brother.
I do desire a more simple life. God intended it so. If my family has the opportunity to grasp that, we will take it God willing. As far as Alaska. Yes upper northwest(way upper). Although I desire that I must consider this....
Acts 17:26 (esv) And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth , having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place , that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each of us.
Good morning to you john. I am currently drinking a juice consisting of carrots, cucumbers, salad greens, blueberries, blackberries, & an apple with water (not from China, yet) Tasty!
As a husband and father of 3 it concerns me a bit. It's changing rapidly. Short of taking my family to the wilderness of Alaska, there is no way out. Just living rightly in an increasingly evil world.
I will keep watching intently in the coming months to see where it goes next.
(Cont.) I consider some of the wisest brothers and sisters on this forum are the ones who NEVER post a comment. That is just my opinion. I can only speak for myself, I think our opinion can become so important to us, that we feel everyone needs to hear it. This can become a source of great pride (speaking for myself here), and we must all examine ourselves. While we are bombarded with bad news daily. We must always remember that we carry, God willing, the good news. May we spread it while it is still light outside. Darkness is nearing. Peace to you dear sister, and to all the other brothers and sisters. God bless you all.
Good morning Dolores. I hope you are having a restful day. Thank you f your kind words. Although I am the least of these brothers and sisters. I hope you can bare with my words and consider them. When this article was posted, it was obvious to me and a few others that Katy Perry was misrepresenting our God's ways by giving the impression that he was giving his blessing to what she does. This is what she did. Some here, including me made that clear. When correction comes, it can sting, but we must always ask ourselves if we have interpreted things incorrectly. That is our duty. We are not perfect in understanding, and we won't be until we are with the Lord. My hope is that we would consider our thoughts and ways to always represent our Lord. Let us consider our Lord's love... he wept, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. His love for the brethren also caused him to rebuke Peter by saying "get behind me satan" when Peter was wrong. I often wonder how heartbreaking this must have been for him. None the less, it was necessary for him to hear it. The Lord loved him. If I'm corrected I must cast aside any anger for the sake of truth. But let's consider this forum... this world is growing more and more evil every day. And it is magnified here by the daily dose of bad news stories
John 15:12,13 (esv) This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends.
