get real wrote: what a gigantic wimp ... the words coming out of his mouth should be: I am here spreading the gospel, the pain i suffer is nothing compared to Jesus, my good works here are as filthy rags ... He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?" ~ James 4:11-12 KJV |

Sadly, I am seeing more and more people blaspheming what they perceive to be: "The God of The Old Testament." This is not only an insult to God, but an insult to practising Jewish persons. Moreover, for the Jewish people The Old Testament is called "The Torah," and is their Holy Scriptures. All nations have laws, yet people take an offence to The Law that was handed down to the Israelites through Moses. And, though many Historians study wars which happened throughout the ages, people take offence to The Old Testament/Torah containing histories of wars which happened in the ancient world. People confuse The Bible's documentation of The Law and war as merciless edicts, yet every civilized society has both laws (which don't always seem fair but have their place), and have libraries containing the gruesome violent details of war. The Old Testament/Torah contains Law, History, Instruction (both explicit and implicit), Prophesies, Prayers, Praise, Science, Corporate Responsibility, and how to handle Social issues such as poverty. Therein, is not only wisdom for one's personal life, but wisdom how to operate Nations with integrity. |

GsTexas wrote: You can't force Christianity on someone, either God is going to draw them in, or he isn't. Just give them the Gospel message, and pray God gives the increase. John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." I agree, it must be God Who changes people's hearts, and brings them into the revelation of truth. Confining someone, criticizing their way of living, and not showing empathy when they are driven to tears I believe has the potential to drive someone away from the Gospel. |

“Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be. That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks – for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation.” Says George Washington of Thanksgiving.'“It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged, as with one heart and one voice, [...] to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens,” he [Abraham Lincoln] wrote." I admit, after reading the words of president's, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, President Obama's, words regarding Thanksgiving seem rather underwhelming. It is my hope that President Obama's private 'prayer closet,' is filled with fluid grace and thanksgiving towards God our Father and The Lord Jesus our Saviour. For, prayers of public display are of no effect, unless a man has his private time with God, his Maker, and Redeemer, with all humility, respect, and reverence. |

Dopey wrote: "Happy Birthday" Jessica!! Jessica, it turns out that we are currently the same age of 38 years old. I always count my second birthday as my "Happy Birthday" because I get younger that way. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3) Thank you very much for the birthday wishes! When I was a child, I was ill a lot and I used to hold one arm up while I was in bed, so Jesus could hold my hand. I started listening to Christian radio while I was living common law, with my now husband at 17 years of age. Our son was a toddler at the time. We were married when I was 18, and against all odds we have been married over twenty years today! Wow! I didn't get baptized till I was say, 23-24 years of age. It's been a long road and I still have a lot of growing to do, in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! I still don't even understand, when the exact point of being born again is! |

Please feel free everyone to wish me a "Happy Birthday," on May 22nd! Matthew 24:35-42 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. God bless! |

Mark 13:1-6 KJV And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.Whole chapter: ]]Mark 13 King James Version |

CJW wrote: "While the Roman Catholic Church has held up heroes, patrons, intercessors and spiritual companions for centuries, the path to sainthood is never easy or quick." - Article That is strange. My path to sainthood was both easy and quick. The moment I turned from my sins and put my trust only in Christ, Who alone paid for all of my sins, by faith alone I became a saint just like the Christians still living in Philippi... Philippians 1:1 "Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to ALL THE SAINTS in Christ Jesus which ARE AT Philippi... Did Paul make a mistake and write a letter to dead people or did he write to Christians in the Philippian church? Amen, excellent statement!Psalm 30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Psalm 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. I don't believe the next verse, means tending to the graves of those who have passed on. Romans 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. May we all grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! ~Amen |

"As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked"Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? The Lord Knows, man will rejoice when his enemies perish. Proverbs 11:10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. Proverbs 11:10 NKJV When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation. Proverbs 11:10 NASB When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, And when the wicked perish, there is joyful shouting. Yet, God is righteous and justice is served. Romans 13:3-5 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. |

So as much as a person feels any choice within their spirit and flesh: Choose life, choose Christ. So much as a person feels a lack of choice within their spirit, within their flesh: They may trust God, through Christ Jesus our Lord.Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Luke 10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. If we has so much as a notion of choice in our lives, it is God who has granted that authority. Such as Mary choosing to listen to Jesus' word, rather than serve. And, Pilate being given the authority to crucify our Saviour. Yet, God is the author and perfector of our faith. |

"What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice."Philippians 1:14-19 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, God be praised! Amen |
