"I don't go to school to talk to God," she said. "I'm in school to learn."
Perhaps, she should learn a little respect for others... & herself as a spiritual person. Even an athiest is worshipping...her or himself. We all have a theology, just different. And they all cannot be correct for too many are totally contradictory. Hindus impersonal & sometimes pantheistic god cannot not be the same as the Christian personal holy entity. Also, we do not have, nor never have had a democracy. We have a democratic republic. True, the majority is not always right. Dred Scott, Inquisition, etc though were decisions of a few people, not a majority.
Also, those 1200 or so interviewsed are not ALL of the Christians. Also, Many SAY they are Christians because they go to church, not because they know Chrsit as Lord. Also, Mormons & other groups SAY they are Christian, but they are not since many do not receive Christ Jesus as the Son of the Living God, nor the Saviour of our human race nor the Son of man whose death on the cross was a substitutionary sacrifice on the behalf of those who believe Him to be God incarnate.
KJ Believer, I don't remember the KJV or any other version saying read but STUDY to show yourself approave, rightly dividing, studying, observing the WORD of God. THe KJV, NABS, etc are ALL intrepretations & the Greek/Hebrew will bring us even closer to the truth
This LDS theoology shows that Jesus & satan are seen as equals, not Jesus as deity & Creator versus satan as the created. There is no TRI-UNE Yahweh in the LDS background. My problem with mitt is not his LDS as much as the way he lives out his LDS. He was pro stem cell research, then not. He was pro-choice, then not...etc. A Good mormon would care about the helpless. mormons can be moral with a morality that is classy. But to say its alright to kill children....? Thats my problem with Mitt. Got to study Huckabee more.
Statistics, Smatistics. They are not always what they seem. Many recent graduates are in small churches and it takes about 3 years to begin a ministry. It can take 2 years or so to develop teams who are evangelistically minded... This could be true for non-Calvinists as well.
The archbishop obviously does not get the telly in his home. The US HAS poured inot Iraq resources & brought order...for the betterment of the Iraqis, not us.
I would applaud Clinton if she was the one who was freely giving the $50 Billion of her own money, but she's not. She wants to rob tax payers to do this.
It's sad when Christians look to the coercive power of Government to force people to pay ever increasing amouts of tax to pay for things that the Church itself should be doing, funded by Christians freely and willingly giving.
John in San Jose brought up a very interesting suggestion. It opens up hearts and reveals hurts, fears and our defensiveness when we have to look at what makes us uncomfortable. The cause would always reveal an important stumbling block toward one's reluctance to embrace Christ. It sure does mine--and I do seek to embrace Him!
Doesn't Sermon Audio like Ron Paul? We have lots of stories about no-hope loosers, flip flopers, war mongers and liars running for the Republican candidacy, but hardly any about Ron Paul.
You'd think that Christians who believed that "By their fruits you shall know them" and James 2:17 "Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." would look at Ron Pauls unquestionable integrity, high principles, obvious lack of covetiousness and see the only man who really qualifies himself to be President of the USA.
Huckabee may have more impressive 'Jesus words' than Ron Paul, but Ron Paul's got the faith and the reality working out in both his personal and public life.
Then you'll have enough money to help the poor, and big government won't get bigger trying to do the job that the Church should have been doing in the first place.
