"The race to develop vaccines and treatments for COVID-19 has newly highlighted a longstanding dilemma for religious conservatives: much of the cutting-edge research relies on the use of material derived from human fetal tissue..."
This is a fairly lengthy article with considerable Catholic input. So the topic is well covered. The article is definitely worth reading ‚ĚóūüĎć
Part of Donald Trump's treatment consisted of drugs that depended on human fetal tissue.
I have to say that is the most astonishing comment that Donald Trump has ever made It is actually, totally correct. "The exception that proves the rule‚Ěó"
Send Moderator Alpha seems to dislike when I put up you URLs on articles that are sharp observations of Mr. Trump, you still can find - -hit and miss-- some excellent ones if you Google in the following three phrases
General Kelly on Donald Trump
Ben Sasse on Donald Trump
Mary Trump on Donald Trump
Now those generalized categories won't give you all the articles that I might like to have used. But, they will give you a idea of why I support Joe Biden
Lbug, when did I say any church was involved? In fact that I don't approve of John Macarthur political position anymore, I will agree with previous statements that he made in:

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world. ---ESV
"The Deadly Dangers of Moralism"
A very good commentary by John MacArthur, not a recent one as can be noticed, though.
I seem to have agreed with all that was said in the above, and my actions prove it!
These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage. But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions. It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, ---ESV
I found this column amusing. And informative!

Let's look at this group has accomplished. They more or less got themselves banned in Manchester and they will hinder other anti-abortion groups around Great Britain.
The gauntlet certainly got supporters of the Immaculate Deception, e.g., https://tinyurl.com/yylvt2s9 which is the reason Catholics are so anti-abortion, but their religious fanaticism, and sometimes obnoxious behavior (of some of them) is counterproductive and is certainly not Christian.
So, yes, they can complain but apparently from the results; they use bad methods to do it.
Mark Winefield wrote: MacArthur has seen Los Angeles County’s ban on large indoor gatherings as persecution of the church and built his case on this persecution complex. Dever has stated a unique theological conviction http://tinyurl.com/y24 https b3rwp that biblical worship must be held in-person, not via video or even in multiple services.
MacAthur has refused county officials suggestions for compromises such as holding outdoor gatherings. Dever has sought to find a compromise with unbending government officials and has, in fact, been holding outdoor gatherings in nearby suburban Virginia.
MacArthur’s church is located in perpetually sunny Southern California, where outdoor gatherings are possible most Sundays of the year, yet refuses to yield to that format. Dever’s church is located in the less temperate climate of the Mid-Atlantic, yet has asked only to be allowed to have outdoor services....

Dave Hunt wrote: .... I went on to explain that we cannot force the ungodly to live by God's standards. Nor is abortion the only or perhaps even the worst evil. Prostitutes and homosexuals destroy the lives of untold millions of young people; drug dealers, more millions than abortionists....I cannot find teaching or example in the entire Bible to indicate that Christians are to combat the world's sins except with the gospel.... .... What are we to do? We must follow Scripture. Neither Jesus nor His apostles nor the biblical early church ever engaged in social or political activism or advocated it. The Great Commission is not to go into all the world to reform its morals by forcing sinners to behave like saints, but to ‚Äúpreach the gospel‚ÄĚ and convert sinners. And in the end, the conversion of sinners will have a far greater impact on society than all of the lobbying, protest marches and passionate appeals to morality that consume the time and energy of concerned Christians....

QC, I didn't put up link to the video to show that I agree of everything he said, though he's correct and implying that concentrating on abortion is an amputated social program
"Dr. Joel C. Hunter was President Barack Obama‚Äôs spiritual advisor for eight years ‚Äď but then voted for Donald Trump in 2016. This time around, he‚Äôs backing Biden, having formed a group called Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden. He speaks with Michel Martin about what changed his mind."
This is a 17 minute plus interview with the co-founder of the Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden who had been a pastor for nearly 50 years. He has had some interesting experiences with doing this. Of course, he's more gentle spoken than his opposition usually is.
I'm not worried about having that happe,n Timothy.

Although QAnon's conspiracy theories are baseless -- they allege that a famous actor is a secret sex trafficker and a leading Democrat participated in Satanic rituals -- the dangers the movement poses are very real. Facebook finally pledged to ban QAnon content earlier this month....
