Christopher000 wrote: But Draxler cited her religious activities – sharing her faith and offering to pray for people – as reasons why she must find a new home. ***Draxler(owner/landlord) knew Martin was recovering from strokes and a heart attack. When she began to cry, protesting that it was winter and she had no children living nearby, he responded that was not his problem,” said Draxler.*** Boy, talk about a heartless human being, void of any sort of empathy. Well, he got his in the end, and I'm so glad that God saw fit to take care of this elderly woman, and with serious health issues, to boot. We've seen indications of the tide on the attack on Christianity turning a bit, with legal victories, here and there, so I'll take them. This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Pastor Steve was titled "Peace Is A Person"/"Jehovah Shalom" from Judges 6:1-24. The sermon was about an angel appearing in human form to Gideon. And about Jesus being our peace. This past Saturday at my Baptist Church I attended the monthly Men's Breakfast and Bible Study. The Bible Study was from 1 Timothy 3:1-16. It was very educational. I am growing in my faith at my Baptist Church. |

Unprofitable Servant wrote: Interesting assertion John Yurich. Could you provide the Trump quote where he says that? Trump stated on Television that he had embraced Jesus as his Lord and Savior. |

Dr. Tim wrote: It doesn’t make a bit of difference what you do at “your” Baptist church, JY. You’re still Catholic to the bone. Why did you state "your" Baptist Church when referring to my Baptist Church. I am not Catholic to the bone because I reject and repudiate all the unscriptural Catholic doctrines. I am on the membership roll of my Baptist Church because I am considered to be saved by the Elders and my Pastor because I embraced Jesus as my Lord and Savior. |

Frank wrote: Catholics are saved through the sacraments and through the catholic church. Even you know that. If the catholic church excommunicates someone, are they saved; of course not. If someone comes to Christ, then they will leave the RCC. Last one to you. It is not required for salvation that a Catholic who comes to Christ leave the Catholic Church because church membership in any church is not required for salvation. When one passes away and stands before Jesus He will not look at the church that one attended in determining who will enter Heaven. He will only look at who had trusted in Him alone for salvation/embraced Him as Lord and Savior. |

Frank wrote: When someone who is not in Christ uses our Lord’s name in prayer, then they are guilty of taking the Lord’s name in vain. So, I cringe when I hear Trump do that, but admittedly I cringe more when I hear Pelosi and her liberal friends do that. My only thought is Pelosi confuses no one in the body of Christ, but Trump does. The only time that I have failed to vote was when Sarah Palin was on the ticket because that was wrong and the body of Christ was confused by it. All Christians are conservative, but why so many think that what we refer to as conservative politicians are in the faith always confuses me. I voted for Trump and will do so again, but it would be my wish that he never used the name of our Lord again. If there was someone on this forum or in our social circles who believed and acted like Trump does; no one would accept him as being in the faith. But for some reason many of us give the rich and famous a pass? I don’t pray often for Trump’s salvation, but I know I need to and will make a point of doing it. Why are you stating that Trump has not embraced Jesus as his Lord and Savior? Trump has stated that he embraced Jesus as his Lord and Savior. And thus he is saved. |

Christopher000 wrote: I have a feeling that Mr Voight is gonna get blacklisted, and shunned by Hollyweird after that comment. This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Pastor Steve was titled "The Lord Will See To It" from Genesis 22:1-18 about God testing Abraham by telling Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac on Mount Moriah. This past Saturday I went to the Men's Breakfast and Bible Study at my Baptist Church from 8-9:30 AM. The Bible study was given by a retired Pastor from California who relocated to Hastings, Minnesota to be near his Daughter who is a member of my Baptist Church. The Bible study was 1 Timothy Chapter 2. It was very educational. |

I am one of those Catholics who is saved because I embraced Jesus as my Lord and Savior and trust in Him alone for salvation. The Daughter of one of the Deacons at my Baptist Church converted to being Catholic when she married a Catholic and she is still saved because she had embraced Jesus as her Lord and Savior years ago and she trusts in Him alone for salvation. |
