I suspect that the majority of people who support BLM aren’t aware that it is a communist outfit, but if they did know, they are so ignorant of the dangers of communism that they wouldn’t have enough sense to care. It’s ironic that in a time when more information is available than ever before, our nation has become more uneducated than ever, and especially so in the areas of history and religion.
One would do well to search the entire Bible, rather than carefully select only those scriptures that appear to support one’s own already-formed conclusions. Of course there is a danger in that; one who has an open mind may discover that he or she has been wrong. At any rate, I have better things to do with my time than debate. There are many manifestations of pharisaism, not the least of which is an attitude that says, “God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are.” One cannot read a thread on SA with more than 20 posts without encountering evidence of this attitude.
Does this mean that the descendants of pro-Union Southerners will finally be reimbursed for the houses and barns destroyed by Sherman’s troops? Will they be paid for the livestock and crops that were stolen? And will the descendants of black people who owned slaves have to pony up for reparations for the descendants of the slaves they owned? Needless to say this is going to be a complicated thing. Perhaps California should adopt as its motto the title of an old Firesign Theatre album: “We’re all Bozos on this bus.”
Some liberals are saying this is “karma,” that Mr. Trump is just getting what he deserves because of his COVID policies. If it worked that way, then Biden and Harris would have their arms torn off and their brains sucked out, just like the babies whose violent murder they so ardently support.
