I sure hope by now someone else has called you out on this. Exodus 21:22 doesn't talk about abortion.
Edit: I see Frank has. Excellent article but Jim will ignore it as usual as it doesn't fit his agenda.
Hey fellow ember!

Yes the article I submitted refutes Jim’s assertions. The below can also be called itching ears and Jim is guilty of it.

Eisegesis:-The process of taking a preconceived belief and interpreting a biblical passage in a way that supports that belief. This is a very common phenomenon, although the interpreter is not generally conscious of the process.

Frank, my daughter too is a public school teacher, and she was told the same thing, no one can fail. State mandate. She said this results in the students who are lazy simply refusing to do their work. The interested ones of course do the work. The undisciplined lazy will graduate without skills or grades enabling them to go on, will end up poor, and tears will be shed over their plight, with more State rulings to fix the problem.
I agree we should speak out against it, but some will say that isn’t speaking the gospel, and that is all, so they say, that Christians should do. Otherwise we are judging those outside the church, so they say.
Thanks for your comment Mike! Interesting that the same thing happened to your daughter. I would say that is the new norm.

I also agree that Christians should judge no one; only our heavenly Father can judge someone. But, I believe we should judge the works of others. Just look at Jim and you will see what I am saying.

No Jim, Ladybug and I destroyed your miscarriage thoughts way back. I saved the link below because I knew it would come up again. The link destroys your Jewish theologian's thoughts.

The below is meant to be a “general truth”.

The family unit is the most important institution that God established. But, now you have two working parents and neither wants to change that. Their children are considered to be nuisances and are not being raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

I have a daughter that teaches in public school and she has told me that teachers are told to not fail any student. So a student that is not up to standards will proceed to the next level anyway.

This cannot be undone, but we can and should speak out against it.

The CRC survey showed that while 44 percent of professing Christians believe the Bible “is ambiguous in its teaching about abortion,” 34 percent believe “abortion is morally acceptable if it spares the mother from financial or emotional discomfort or hardship.” When asked if they believe “human life is sacred,” 40 percent of respondents said no. ...

The above is from the article.

Now I defy anyone to find a scripture that even mentions the financial or emotional hardship concept. What these name it claim it folks do is make scripture progressive to benefit the feminist community. They may reason that because God loves them, then He would not want them to have an unwanted child??

Abortion is a matter of convenience; nothing more and nothing less. The below is for Jim.

http://prolifephysicians.org/app/?page_id=2

When the life of the mother is truly threatened by her pregnancy, if both lives cannot simultaneously be saved, then saving the mother’s life must be the primary aim. If through our careful treatment of the mother’s illness the pre-born patient inadvertently dies or is injured, this is tragic and, if unintentional, is not unethical and is consistent with the pro-life ethic. But the intentional killing of an unborn baby by abortion is never necessary.

Not many people in the UK would have known about Turin, including me. But there is an excellent film made about that part of the war, and it focusses on Turin and the team that was set up to break the Enigma. I can't remember the title, but it may have been "Codebreaker", and makes excellent watching.
Brother, you know I think I have heard of the movie Codebreaker. Imagine how many lives that fellow saved. One day, we will find out why our heavenly Father worked the way He worked.

Deuteronomy 29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Just about every year that I worked we had an annual racism class. Every year some black fellow; usually a policeman would come tell us of the problems in the black communities and how we, not them, were responsible for it.

Bro, I think we do it every day.
Now if I mentioned a genius called Alan Turin, would you know about him? He was a mathematical genius, and he was a sodomite which, at the time he lived in England, was illegal.
The German war factory had developed a machine for sending vital messages in code; it was named The Enigma machine. No longer could British intelligence intercept messages. The machine was so deadly that no-one could unlock the way it worked. That was, until an ungodly sodomite with a huge brain, was called in to develop a decoding machine. And he did it! And it was vital for the war effort.
Now what I am saying is that Alan Turin was an expert in his field. So much so, that he was the top brain in England, despite being unregenerate.
And his story could be repeated a multitude of times in various circumstances.
Is that not fair comment?
Thanks brother! I had never heard of Alan Turin. But I have always thought that a scientist's IQ is normally much higher than the average fellow, so your example makes a lot of sense.

And, I thank God that IQs mean nothing in God's economy. He can and does use anyone to accomplish His purposes. Why He chose to use this fellow is above my pay grade.

Are these experts correct? Are they experts? And are they correct? What do you say, Mike?
Brother, you and I will agree on this issue.

Below is just me musing.

I tried to get an accurate percentage of scientists that believe in evolution. I did find the percentage of 99.9 mentioned several times. That would include these epidemiologists. Now how can anyone put their trust in a group such as this?

I personally have little respect for any scientific findings. That doesn't mean they are wrong, but that means I will use whatever information they provide and then rightly or wrongly use “my own logic” to determine what is right, wrong or uncertain.

I cannot believe how many ideologues there are. My wife buys into Trump's scientists and my daughters buy into the democratic scientists. If I ask any of them why, they simply look at me or say that’s what science says.

No Christian should or would resort to the following definition, but the world does.

soph•ist•ry = the use of fallacious arguments, especially with the intention of deceiving.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Forgive me for being pointed, brother, but if you wanted to do what was best to keep you and your wife safe, why potentially expose yourself to COVID by going into the restaurant in the first place? As far as I see it, the staff's lack of care is no different than yours.
I agree fully. We went in as usual and seated ourselves as usual and then we noticed it. And then we decided to stay, but you are very correct. Had I understood what was taking place (see below) I should have stood up and complained and walked out. My wife and I actually discussed whether or not the ordinance had changed and neither of us were sure.

As far as I see it, the staff's lack of care is no different than yours.

Pretty harsh conclusion above. Anyway, we were caught by surprise; they weren't.
And because you felt it necessary to make me into some type of hypocrite that doesn't love his wife as much as I should, let's agree to ignore each other from now on.

Before you say something so ugly to a brother, you should ask why.

Oh I do forgive you.

As for my convertible, if the roof has holes in it larger than raindrops, I might be tempted to conclude it isn't likely to keep raindrops from passing through it, even if non-automobile experts say it will keep me from getting wet, and more importantly that it will keep occupants of other convertibles from getting wet.
But, for the record. A few days ago my wife and I visited one of our favorite restaurants. The entire staff disobeyed the mask mandate and removed the restrictions posted on their doors. Because of their lack of concern for us old timers, my wife and I will never and I mean never visit this restaurant again.

Yes, I am doing what I think is best for my wife and I.

"Coronavirus is continuing its spread across the world, with more than 36 million confirmed cases in 188 countries and more than one million deaths."
"The virus is surging in many regions and some countries that had apparent success in suppressing initial outbreaks are also seeing infections rise again."
Hey brother!

I get the flu shot every year because I am old and have COPD, diabetes and hypertension. So, if I get the flu, I am very likely to die. The same would go for Covid 19. If I am still alive when a vaccine comes out, then I will take that as well. I am not an epidemiologist so I just go by what I think is logical for me. I wear a mask when in public places and I wash my hands when getting back in the car or back home. I am not aware that I do these things because of fear; concern would be a better word.

Women are in what I refer to as a victim class. If they fail in any endeavor, then it is almost always because of their gender. You have what is referred to as a race card, a sexual orientation card and a gender card.

Kenny, JohnUK

I agree with both of your thoughts.

And once again Deborah enters into the conversation. The mere fact that she is the only female in scripture noted as a judge does not detract her name from setting a norm. We use itching ears to make the exceptions the rules.

And how do we know what input Priscilla had when she and her husband corrected Apollos? Perhaps she simply stood next to him and said amen or something like that. There is no indication in scripture who said what.

I have always thought that women like Pelosi cannot fool any Christian, but an even more sincere catholic like Barrett can fool so many.

This lady is a part time wife and mother and a full time feminist.

I have already stated several times that if a pastor believes scripture tells him to open his church, then he should open his church. If the members believe that scripture tells them to attend, then they should attend. I do not look at this as obeying or disobeying government or constitutional mandates, but obeying our heavenly Father. If they suffer persecution because of their beliefs, then they are indeed being blessed.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Personal note: My area has a mask mandate when in closed public areas. A couple of days ago, we went to one of our favorite restaurants and none of the employees were following the mandate to wear masks. There is nothing that could make me ever go there again.

I'm not sure about Donald Trump being a gift. He is God's appointment, though.
You are so right brother; if someone is unsaved then they cannot be less or more unsaved than someone else. Total depravity puts them in the same spiritual condition. Here is the way I look at this that helps me.

I put all the unsaved on an imagined bookshelf. The left side are the liberals and the right side are the conservatives, but both are on the same unsaved bookshelf. No one can serve Christ in a positive way unless they are in Christ. To suggest that because someone is a conservative they are in Christ has the effect of dummying down the gospel by making it works based.

I have read where the Pharisees actually walked with their heads down so they would not lust after women. And of course the Sadducees took progressive stances.

I didn’t come up with the bookshelf thought, but can’t remember where I first read it.

Another "Amen" brother. I would tweak the statement concerning "unintended pregnancies" and say that there is no such thing. Its like saying that a gun goes off by itself when I put my finger on the trigger; it was "unintended". I remember the euphemism from the 60's and 70's "Let's make a baby." Sex is the natural means of procreation.
Amen brother, good tweak. If someone isn’t willing to give birth, then they shouldn’t have sex. Sounds pretty simple to me.

Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

I agree with my brothers below. In Western civilizations they sacrifice these innocent unborn babies for the sake of convenience.

From the internet; worldwide numbers:

"Roughly 121 million unintended pregnancies occurred each year between 2015 and 2019.*
Of these unintended pregnancies, 61% ended in abortion. This translates to 73 million abortions per year."
