Another thing is I would leave the High priest position for the one who earned it by obedience until death even the death of the cross. He alone knows who to pray for in the world for it is He who overcame the world. We must not decide who we will pray for but pray for our enemies Luke 6:27-28 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. I do get your point on John 17 but we dont know who exactly is Jesus praying for BUT one thing we do know it for those whom he gave himself with blood and stripes. Now according to God word he has saved sinners like these before. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. I am sure you will find yourself in one of the sins mentioned above.. Are you now to good to pray for the lost? I |
