Those who desire to stay faithful to the Scriptures need some space in which to practice their faith. Had Rowan and his fellow bishops remained true to the Scriptures, this would not happen or perhaps the liberals would leave. Therefore, the new Anglican Church in North America gets my support.

Yep, sounds like the NAE is in need of some purifying reformation. Gay unions cannot be supported from Scripture. Same-sex acts are condemened.

If these conservatives are following their convictions and confession (which upholds Christ, Scripture and Faith Alone), then they have sufficiently given up the doctrines of apostacy, even if they aren't following perfectly another man's interpretation of the Bible(i.e. the Pope's version of it or Mr. Rugh's version, Spurgeon's, etc..etc.), because if this conformity to another person's version is demanded, then man's thoughts are again superior to the Scriptures alone for each congregation or individual and we don't need to go there again. They have been freed from one pope and don't need another, whether in Rome or elsewhere.

Thanks San Jose John for the response to my post. I believe it is quite "normal" to be aware of our sinfulness upon reading the Holy Scriptures and also because the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Thankfully we have an Advocate with the Father(1 John 2:1) when we feel the struggles we have with our sin-corrupt flesh and the temptations thrown at us. I hope and pray your unbelieving brother will come to a knowledge of this as well, so he can claim the perfect righteousness which Jesus Christ has obtained for those who believe the Gospel. We cannot boast of ourselves, as Paul says to the Ephesians, "By grace are ye saved through faith...Not of works, so that no man may boast..."

Unless it is real spring water or distilled water, the whole bottled water movement is a scam. In many cases, water from the tap is as clean or cleaner than bottled water. I have my own bottled water..I put tap water in a bottle.

Hmm...but the Bible says "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves." So, they are not good but are deceived. But the verse goes on to say "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." May such deceived cheaters confess and receive forgiveness of their sins.

If we were to read the book of Acts as a "HOW TO" book for church ordinances, we would be drawing lots to appoint Apostles.
Ok.

It is supposed to be a gathering for public Christian worship. Sure, invite Muslims and share with them the truth of the Bible. However, to allow them to use this place as their house of prayer is not proper. It sounds like the pastor is setting up a very liberal and unchristian ecumenical experiment!

I have heard this also about Acts being historical but not intended to support one's doctrinal opinion. It doesn't sit well with me either. Is this about using Acts to support some form of baptism?

I would confide with the German Protestant Church: Tasteless. Certainly a mockery.

Not to sound rude or anything, but Mr. Hagee is certainly overweight. If he is preaching faith, he needs to live it too, by leading a healthy lifestyle. And couple his weight problem with a condemnantory pharisaic attitude on other Christians who don't follow his interpretations(which seems to have caused him much undue stress), it is not a surprise. Recommendation: lead a healthy lifestyle and pull the log out of your own eyes.

Sometimes they are right on target no matter if they are Catholic or not. Yep, this world is more corrupt, thanks to much of the modern entertainment industry. Oh well, the great apostacy has to come by some means.

The religion of consumerism--should be listed in the US religion census. Not much different from Islamic religious stampedes in which people also die. "And they worshipped the creature more than the Creator."

I would agree with you there, Lance. With many churches falling for the world's immorality, many people are looking for something that stays true to its convictions.
