Lurker, you do have a valid point there..he should have checked into these points before not after the fact. And it bothers me that he calls himself an apostle?!! Weren't apostles the ones who saw Jesus personally?? He does seem a little strange at that. I guess I think of my own pastor in situations like this but he always counsels with couples before he will marry them..he covers all bases. Oh well, hope both learned a few lessons in all this.

Lurker, she had to have known their very strick dress code and chose to ignore it..I'm surprised they didn't have to use "smelling salts" to bring him to after he saw her and fainted. He has learned some important lessons..1 being never trust that someone is always going to be or do what's right in your eyes.2 not everyone that wants to be married in a church are Christians( good start but not there yet)3. not everyone that belongs to a church is a Christian. If she is a Christian she has an awful lot of groeing to do and then she will put Christ on the throne of her life and take self off which I will sincerely pray she does.

My pastor, who made a member very angry for dismissing her niece from working in the children's department because she was wearing imodest clothes including some showing her midrift (navel)..he wasn't fired..he is on several local channels..The Church Channel and radio. His sermon today was about having a church home and the different reasons we should have one.1.it's where you grow 2.where God wants to reveal His glory. His glory shines when members are in unity..giving generously..praising joyfully. To me the way we dress tells a lot about our love for God and others. I don't think that pastor should have gone against his convictions to please this couple. She was being arrogant and unloving by her actions as well.

Well, I did and my first thought was" She looks like a Pole Dancer"Kudos to that pastor for giving her some lessons in shame since she does not seem to have any!! Btw where do you guys get the cute faces? I would love to have put a red faced one on my comment.

Well who was it if not a muslim..if it looks like a duck..no seriously who was it then who cut the man's heart out and proceeded to eat it? These people behead people in the name of their god..why not cut a heart out? What..dead bodies are sacred but live bodies are not?!! Yes, I do believe the american government does have financial reasons and not just McCain and it is oil. We are losing more and more of our middle east allies it seems.

Chris,it was even longer but SA cut some off..btw I hope and pray your depression gets better..no one understands that has not been through it. My Dr.explained to me that some people are born with lower sertiom in their brain and when under stress that is then depleted. I'm thankful that I can take meds to help with this problem.I believe it's partly genetic also. Anyway blessings to you on this beautiful fall day.

Has anyone on here seen the video of the rebel standing beside a dead solider cutting his heart out of his chest, holding it up and shouting something in Arabiac, then eating that bloody heart? Glenn Beck showed the video and fore warned about how graphic it was..still I was shocked that a human could do that! McCain is so duped if he believes these rebels are all moderates..there are Jihities very much involved in this rebellion!

Looks like somebody has opened the proverbial Pandora Box and let a flood of filth(accoding to David Wilkerson's book The Vision) out on the world. I pray this teacher never is allowed in the class room again! He took advantage of the teen-ager. Rape is a power thing not lust per say..so don't blame this on the girl's behavior which may have been wrong but the boys were worse by far.

Christopher, that was avery good comment you made about sticking with being a Baptist and all the rest was so what God wants from us. I have been Methodist as a child..Baptist as a teenager..got away from God for a few years in rebellion because of
my troubled family life..married into a Pentacostal family, came back to God stayed there for a few years..learned so much about the Holy Spirit and so these years were not wasted..God moved me back into the Methodist church when we moved to another town..the church had lots of error in it so I went to the Christian Church because I knew some devote christians and they had a great youth program there..stayed there a few years then God's call back to Baptist which was closer to my home than the Christian Church..stayed there until we moved here..now I am still in the Baptist Church and very happy serving God in different areas. I saw good and things I didn't agree with..I have seen very devote christians in every church I've been in and very insincere people..I know Billy Graham is Baptist but his wife, Ruth, was a Presbertian. My husband is not a Christian, however, his brother is a Holiness pastor..very,very devoted to God.I guess that's why I don't Judge others so quickly. God didn't use a "cookie cutter" when He made us..we all have

Interesting post Christropher to ms. I agree with you about the posts being read by others that don't always post their thoughts. Actually I was one of those for a long time until I got up courage to post about your depression, then nothing for awhile and tried again much later. Don't know why I stay on but I do because I feel these are ways to be a light even though ever now and then it gets blown out by others and I wonder where did this come from..I can understand ms's concerns about social media..teen agers have committed suicide over things said to them on FB. The bullys are on all these type medias. Btw most people are like me on FB and care less about the photos put on there or comments made of what their kids are doing.,what they did on vacation while in Ireland..it makes those that can't afford to go feel they are so bragging ..and worse if they are having problems just struggling to get their kid graduated!!

What about the 13 unarmed soldiers that did not know they were going to be killed that day as they shaved, ate their breakfast and went to their posts. Did they know God, were they ready to meet Him? At least Hasan will have plenty of time to think over his sins and what he's done..still time..he can repent but so far he wants to die..to get his reward . But like my son said when that happens and he goes to recieve that reward he'll say,"Uh oh, somebody lied."

So sorry to hear you are leaving MS but I feel I will know you in heaven so have a blessed life and see you at the Gate..US thanks for your advise. I use facebook like you do..very little about me personally and very careful what I say..learned that on this forum in the very beginning. Actually I play games like Farmville but not much of that even. There are people on there that I've witnessed to. One a former RRC but now does not believe in God at all..at first he was so angry at me and others that were commenting however at the end of it he was wishing me pease and I wished him the same..he was not my friend but a friend of a friend..his posts are no so beligerent toward us when God is mentioned.

it's the same thing on here..don't we want to be accepted and thought well of on this forum..speaking for myself I feel misunderstood at times or judged and then up lifted by the different comments on here..very blessed at times that I'm not alone with my thoughts..we as Christians really need the lifting up of each other even if we are in disagreement..we are living in a world that is beginng to look more and more anti christian..we are the ones that are having to go into the closets now that the gays have so bodly come out

Penelope, I really understand where you are coming from because there is way too much sharing between people on there and I agree there is a fine line here and believe me I do not cross it. For one thing I am a private person and I actually don't want people looking at my life situations or my pictures etc. You made an important point about data bases and all the things that can go bad..read an article that facebook causes alot of depression and low self esteem with those on there..see your point and now I'm thinking maybe God doesn't want me on there..I'll have to pray about this.
