We recently changed the way you now download sermons. No longer does a "popup window" appear with a further link to download the MP3. Instead, clicking on the "Download MP3" link should prompt your browser's "Save As" dialog window to save the MP3 (thus eliminating an extra step). If it's not quite working for you, try "right-clicking" that Download link and selecting "Save As" from that menu.

The best way to download MP3 sermons in batch is to make use of our Transfer Agent if you are a member. For more information about it please type in the keyword "transfer" in the search box.

I would check to see if the Zen Micro can support playing MP3s (properly) at low bitrates.. namely, 16kbps. Most MP3 players *are* able to, but some have been known to have trouble with the lower-bitrate MP3s.

We ask all and any to use the "Report Abuse" link whenever appropriate so we can take care of these "strong-language" comments. Also, let us know which forums you feel warrant us closing down.

Earlier this year, we made a significant change across the entire site so that now if you post your email address with your comments, guestbook entries, or homepages, it will be shielded but folks can still contact you if needed! What this means is that no one will be able to see your actual email address, but they will still be able to contact you via our interface.

These scammers and spammers do not have your email address, but unfortunately they are using our form to send you their junk. Simply ignore the email and never respond to scam/spam or else they WILL then have your email address in the reply message.

This sounds like a classic case of a program interfering with the Transfer Agent (perhaps some sort of a filter, firewall, or proxy program running). Is there any chance you could temporarily suspend any such program and try again?

Ken, this may be a problem related to certain MP3 players themselves. Perhaps a different MP3 player brand would be able to play the lower bitrate MP3s. Many MP3 players assume that their players will be used to play MUSIC MP3 audio (which always tends to the higher bitrate). Sometimes you will run into brands which simply do not support the lower bitrate. But many, on the other hand, do as well.

It's very likely that the Clie does not support low-bitrate MP3 files. All MP3s on SermonAudio are encoded 16kbps bitrate which is suitable for voice but rarely used for music. And your device probably had music in mind when playing MP3s. I'm almost 90% sure that's what the problem is. The only solution is to find some sort of software upgrade that you can download from Sony's website, or use a different MP3 player.

We recently acquired a 20GB iPod MP3 player and it officially works with SermonAudio... and works well! It particularly works very nicely with the new podcasting feature of the site in connection with the new podcasting support in iTunes 4.9. Enjoy!

Just as a side note, all broadcasters now have podcasting as a built-in feature. You can register your church's RSS feed at iTunes at any time using the RSS/Podcasting link found on your church's homepage. For more information please refer to: http://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details.asp?ID=19830

Actually, you can use iTunes with ANY broadcaster on SermonAudio already! Podcasting is a feature built-in for all broadcasters across the board (even if they have not been specifically submitted for listing in the Podcast Directory in iTunes). Use the "Subscribe to Podcast" feature in iTunes and copy the RSS URL of the broadcaster you wish to podcast.

Update: We've created a separate step-by-step page on how to actually submit your podcast feed to iTunes by ]]clicking here ...

There does not appear to be any problem with our servers. Are you using the Transfer Agent? It may be a case where there might be a program running on your computer (either a proxy, filter, or other blocking-type program) that is interfering with the download. Are you able to disable any such programs temporarily to test it again?

Be sure you click on the "Download MP3" link instead of the "Play" link when attempting to download sermons. For more help on downloading sermons, please refer to www.sermonaudio.com/help.

(1) You can now search for any phrase in any comment posted recently on the site by using the Search Box at the top of any page (select "Comments" as the search filter).

As for listing all comments posted for any news item or survey in one window, you can do this by clicking on the "show all" link.

(2) If you use Internet Explorer, it will actually show you the number of characters you have left before you reach your comment limit.

Actually the video webcasts should work very well with WMP 10. We have tried watching a number of them from the various broadcasters at different times with good results. Are you on a Mac or a Windows XP environment? We know there shouldn't be any problem on a Windows environment but we have not adequately tested it on a Mac environment.

Also, please be sure you have the latest video drivers for your computer installed.

Thank you. As we mentioned in our previous comment, if you could recommend our services to churches that you are aware of, then that particular "problem" could be solved. Correct? The only requirement we have is for churches to strictly adhere to the Articles of Faith as outlined on the site. It has nothing to do with race.

Again, we do in fact have "Asian-American" and "African-American" broadcasters on the site. So it is incorrect to say that we do not.

We actually have a number of churches using the site that are Spanish, Asian, and African-American. A good place to start would be to click on the international flag icons at the top of any page. Either that or simply type in "foreign" in the search box. If you could recommend our services to others in these areas, we would certainly welcome it!

I assume that you're referring to transcripts of the sermons where the audio quality is less-than-listenable? We do not supply transcripts on this site but you can try contacting the broadcaster(s) directly regarding that.

As for the audio quality, we try to encourage our broadcasters to encode their MP3s at decent quality so this would not be an issue. Broadcasters: for tips on encoding your sermons, simply type "help encoding" in the search box above.
