I personally can come to no other conclusion than that no one wants to end this endless debate about this already settled disagreement.

The verses I gave in former posts, coupled with the fact that I find no prescription in the Word of God for torturing and murdering persons into the Kingdom of God, have brought me to the point that I can give no more thought or credence to the leader of this activity, than to the unretracted edicts of this sect, bolstered by Mr. T. Aquinas, to the effect that Protestants may be murdered by the adherents of it. The reason this is not still being perpetrated today is because Protestants are no longer a mean and beggarly minority... or perhaps Rome has just gotten soft.
At any rate, I certainly do not want to rob everyone of their entertainment, so... have fun, and God bless.

No... but I do see some inchoate stages of 'Domestic Terrorism'.

This looks like a job for 'National Civilian Security Force'.

Hence, the Sermon on the Mount.

It certainly does lay waste to any and all self-righteousness.

How many times do we have to go through this?

Eph 2:19-22 completely eradicates any controversy or idea of a pope.

How? Not by addressing the issue (how ridiculous would that be), but by the only infallible and irrefragable means of interpretation... the Word of God.

For a rock solid Christian, this might be an interesting, diversified study; for one with no foundation, reference, or standard, it is merely an obstacle course with no finish line.

Certainly a lot of press for an individual who has no ground for existence.

It certainly does look like ever more blatant subjugation of the populace through forced dependence. If it is not possible to help each other in an atmosphere of community, who else can you turn to save the accomodating government?

The way that this essentially socialist regime is going about this is actually very clever. Perhaps too clever for them.

To my understanding, the mentality behind our alliance with Israel, was not so much that we agreed with their policies, but that, albeit it tacitly, we believed that these were the people of God.
Naive perhaps, but if that were the case, then I have lost count of the immediate anti-Christian (to the mind) decisions this 'Christian' individual has made.

What a hopeless and lamentable end to a soldier.

There is very darkness at work here.

I'm sure this will become a catch phrase with me, concerning this 'regime', but, is everyone getting this?

Absolutely, Here24; even if we could 'prove' to the satisfaction of the meaning of the word, that Jesus rose from the dead, it would not be enough for the unbeliever.
Besides, what would he do with that information, if it was nothing more than 'proof'.

lyn, I think John Yurich USA simply meant that 'Jesus' earthly remains disappeared from the tomb', not disappeared entirely... I think.

The look on the surprised bank robber's face, when his partner turns on him, will be worth the price of admission.
To make concessions with, nay, to be imposed upon by aberrant thinking, will surely come back to bite you 'in the you know where'.

'adheres to this very conservative line that they encourage promiscuity.'

Perhaps they don't know that there is only one practical use for a condom... protection.

Perhaps if we hang it from this tree over here, it will prevent pregnancy and AIDS.

The Calvinist, in his desire to know Christ, the fountain of all wisdom and knowledge, dives into this quest by searching more and more into Him.
This necessarily issues in a clearer view of ourselves in His light. Humility, brokenness, and a desire for more knowledge cannot be far behind. Knowledge which, in its most minute detail, will guide us in our pursuit of His two great commandments.

Forgive us our grave or overbearing exteriors; our greatest desire is to share what we have been given.

Sadly, pew view, like the gospel, the truths of Calvinism, and the consequent blessings of understanding, are only ours to offer, not to 'give'. For those who cannot see its truth, there remains only prayer.

Oddly, it has only one (albeit ubiquitous) enemy, as you have stated ... self.

Sounds personal, John Yurich.
I am a firm believer in capital punishment, as well as 'There, but for the grace of God...'

I am all too aware of the potential 'murder in my heart', to be unburdened by the death of any unrepentant sinner.

The other side of your enthusiastic determination, my friend, borders on 'rejoicing in iniquity'. For the sake of your own peace, beware.
