Jim,I think it would be worthwhile to evaluate our new poster's MO

1.the 1641 massacre is referred to as "if that history is even correct"

2.The darkness of papism is "so called darkness"

3.we are referred to as "fundamentalists" as if it were a derogatory term

getting the picture yet guys?

]]it appears we have another one

That's right. This is a site for fundamentalists of all stripes to encourage each other in their superiority over Catholics, and every other condemned people. So, who has the most historical points? That seems to be the game here. If we can come up with one more Protestant who died at the hands of a Catholic, we win the argument. Is that how this works? That's how the discussion is carried out in any case. Is this the way to confront this so-called darkness?
So, yes, "seriously".
and what would you suggest-letting them continue?-

I think not

this cynical use of this site has been going on for months

and your argument is spurious-the papists are keen to point out how they are the sole holders of "the truth",while at the same time denying the crimes their church has committed over the ages.....

funny how you come to a fundamentalist site specifically to take offence.....

or are you another papist,or just one of the usual suspects under another name???

Which of course justified Cromwell's actions, if that history is even correct, right? Seriously, this tit for tat is pointless.
Cromwell went to war in Ireland to put a stop to papist aggression-nothing more or nothing less

there is nothing pointless in confronting darkness

this is not a site for papists to accuse Christians that they would "kill" papists-an outrageous slur desrving of a complete ban for the poster

this is not a site for papists to try to earn their "get out of purgatory free card"

it's not a recruiting site for them to use either.....they aren't getting free reign, and that will continue as long as they are here to agitate and stir it up

"seriously"

GK: "...it also helped rid England of the papal jackboot".
GG: England had been Catholic for hundreds of years, there was no need for jackboots, but Henry replaced Authority with an Anglican jackboots! And Oliver Cromwell introduced a Puritan hobnail boot of blood covered steel. Definitely an improvement!
Cromwell's campaign in Ireland, derided of course by the papal lackies was in direct response to ]]oh,guess what?another papish massacre of protestants, this time in 1641

as for the papal jackboot, interesting to note that Heinrich Himmler designed the structures of the SS on the model of.....you guessed it....the Jesuits

what an endorsement,eh?

3:10 Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning;

By allowing, or better yet, insisting that priests be MARRIED-with-KIDS,
even before they are considered for the priesthood, I'm convinced that
the RCC could've avoided this problem altogether. I'm not Catholic so
I don't know if Pope Benedict has the power to bring about such a monumental
change like this, but it would certainly be an honorable thing for all
believers to pray about.
a major reason priests were prohibited from marrying was that the vatican was terrified of the possibility of any offspring claiming,or having influence over "church" property.....

it seems incredibly fishy that the two establishment candidates would have their campaigns miraculously turn around after seeming almost dead in the water previously.

In the New Hampshire caucus of the last couple of days, Diabold electronic voting machines were used in 81% of the vote.

Disappointment.....You're as transparent as glass

your sword seems pretty dull to everyone here

just a pity there's no sharpener!!

moderators are watching you

you still don't get it-a Protestant who just takes the title is just the same as a Roman Catholic-ie lost

unsaved is unsaved,no matter what title you care to use......

Henry just happened to use a flag of convenience to exact revenge against the papacy

it also helped rid England of the papal jackboot

I would interpret that as referring to those who willfully reject the RCC.

Wrong interpretation,I'm afraid....

and Henry VIII was no more a Christian than a Roman Catholic is!!

he just jumped ship and hoisted a flag of convenience to get what he wanted in the line of a new wife(or 6)

but granted,he did have his plus points--dissolution of the monasteries coming close to the top of the list....

it's also noticeable how they fall silent when they sense "disagreement" amongst believers, doubtless watching from the sidelines hoping that it will boil over into a full scale riot

when it's clear that that won't happen, back they come.....

here's aquestion for all these prosperity "teachers"

if they believe that people can reap an excess return when they "sow their seed",why is it that they don't give all they have and reap so much that they'll never have to ask for anything again.....??

don't they have enough "faith"?

To those who follow the teachings of the RCC; the gospel has been given to you, as Christ also gave it to His disciples, repeatedly on this site. "Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. Also, from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves." Acts 20:26-27,30. Let's leave it at that, and go our separate ways. Those who follow the RCC teachings are not going to follow Christ according to scripture to this I say, "May God have mercy on you". To those who are truly born again, let's not get caught up in their trap of continuous arguing, there are others around us who need to hear God's truth according to His word. Praise God for His glorious truth, His precious, priceless, highly esteemed gift, the gift of salvation.
I agree 100%,but it's hard to resist facing error masquerading as "truth" head on.....

You made some good points in your last comment on the Nazi Regime and the role of the churches during that time. And yes, the Lutheran and Reformed State churches of Germany compromised with the Nazi governement probably as much as the Roman church. Nevertheless I believe that the Vatican actively worked to bring Hitler into power whereas the apostate Protestant churches chose to remain passive and silent. And yes my own native land (Switzerland) is guilty of collaborating with the Nazi Regime. You are probably right that most if not all of us had also kept silent rather than being thrown into the gas chambers.
Christian-you used a very apt word there-"apostate"

they should have known better than to compromise and leave biblical truth behind.....the "Protestant" churches who are up to their eyes in the ecumenical movement today are similarly apostate
