You and Rodankle are nothing but schoolyard bullies. Neither of you can stand anyone who's bigger, better, smarter, stronger, and more handsome. Tragic, really. I'm not even angry, but saddened over whatever happened to you as children that's made you lash out this way.
Hey, I resemble that remark! Jus 'cause everone else is bigger, better, smarter, stronger, and more handsomer than me don't mean that I have to take this sitting down. And what's this here about my childhood? Just 'cause I were dropped in a vat of Vegermite when I was knee high to a grasshopper don't mean nothin'. Specially comin' from a full fledged Vegermite addict.

Your way of thinking is Calvinism. The Bible speaks of free will. If it is true that accepting Christ is not biblical then why did Jesus state to go into the world and preach the Gospel to get individuals to choose to become saved by accepting Jesus?

Hey Dave,

Praying for you and your family.

Have you thought about scaling back your Vegemite regimen? Might help with the swelling in your nose. (Just sayin')

Nothing wrong with science as long as we recognise its limitations. Science can't tell us the past. It can't predict the future. The results of scientific research are constrained by the knowledge, ability, and biases of the scientist. On the other hand, God knows all things. He knows the minute details of history. He controls the future. This is His creation. He created it for His purpose and for His glory. Would you rather take the word of One who knows all? Or would you rather take the word of His creatures?

Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
(Isaiah 40:13-14)

"So in love is Christ with holiness that he will buy it with his blood for us." - John Flavel.

May we remember this when we are tempted to sin.

Brother Rodney,
I found this article interesting - http://www.thedailysheeple.com/91-volcanoes-found-under-arctic-ice-big-blow-to-climate-alarmists_082017
The whole 'climate change' hoax should be evident to most. As you pointed out, God has already said summer, winter, springtime and harvest will continue. Yes, reading the BIBLE and believing what it says is all that is necessary - amen and amen.
Hey Sis. Ladybug,

Thanks for the link. Science can only draw inferences based on what the scientists know. There are simply too many unknowns for them to predict something as complex as global warming. I wonder how many of them adjusted their computer models based on the discovery of this volcano chain. I suspect few, if any. Yet, we're supposed to place our confidence in folks who can't predict the weather two days from now. No thanks.

However... Our God has NEVER been wrong! Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!

It seems to me that God is the one who destroyed the world with water (not man), and it’ll be God who destroys it with fire. That sounds like the kind of climate change we ought to be concerned about. I suppose that there will be those who are prepared for it, and those who aint. I guess it’d be good for those of us who realize what’s in store to be telling folks about Jesus. I also suppose that God is in charge of times and the seasons. I reckon He won't destroy this earth a moment sooner or a moment later than He purposes. I doubt that God will ask the opinion of any scientists when He decides to destroy the world. He won't need congressional approval. He won't even have to get a bunch of Baptists to form a committee. I figure He'll just act unilaterally - kinda like He always does.

I expect that until that point, summer, winter, springtime and harvest will continue – mostly because that’s what He said. The regularity of the change of seasons will bring comfort and hope to God's children, knowing He is a faithful, unchangeable Savior. But it will be a snare to the unbeliever - just like it said in that scripture you posted. Now, I'm sure that this aint highfalutin enough for some folks, but it seems to me just a whole lot simpler to read the Bible and believe what it says.

Not really sure your point, Jim. The 2 Peter passage is speaking against those who doubt the promise of the Lord's coming. But the passage I posted shows God's faithfulness in keeping his promises.

Maybe there's something I failed to read into the text.

"Puritans are an embarrassment to Christianity" What a hypocritical statement! This is nothing more than painting with a broad brush. Gallery of famous 17th-century Puritan theologians include: Thomas Gouge, William Bridge, Thomas Manton, John Flavel, Richard Sibbes, Stephen Charnock, William Bates, John Owen, John Howe and Richard Baxter. I would hardly call these men an 'embarrassment'. What really is an embarrassment is a liberal troll who disguises himself as 'Christian'.

Truth has become the new Hate Speech...
Yep!

The left has done an excellent job of redefining the meanings of words.

Hate = having a belief that is at odds with the left
Alt-right = anyone to the right of Nancy Pelosi
Freedom of speech = freedom to make perverted art
Freedom of speech = the right to speak of Christ behind closed doors (for now)
Tolerance = live and let live attitude toward everyone who isn't alt-right (see above)
Diversity = people of all sorts who aren't haters (see above)
Freedom of religion = freedom to keep your (heart-pricking) religious ideas to yourself (only applies to Christians)

Biblical climate change:

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
