well said Max....

all the lame apologists for sodomy can be relied upon to wheel out the "sin of sodom was really inhospitality" nonsense

if that was really the case,I can think of a few cities today which should be reduced to smoking piles of rubble, but for some strange reason are still standing!!

Now why do you think that is Jethro??? Any great insights for us?

Liberal apostate claptrap doesn't go down well on this forum my friend.....try the Lambeth conference-you should have many friends there!!

Robert-were any of you physically assaulted? If,so,where were the PSNI to arrest them for "hate crimes"?

oh yes, that's right-homos are incapable of "hate crimes".....

read Psalm 37 my friend-it encouraged me today as I read it,as these homo shame parades really do my head in......

by the way-what was the number of spectators like? The media would have you believe that there was a lot people watching

and a challenge for the homos-arrange a homo shame parade in Mecca or Riyadh or Tehran......let's see how they get on there!!

guys-can I draw your attention to this story concerning the new Northern Ireland First Minister's wife Iris Robinson, and the pro queer uproar she is facing after suggesting that homosexuals should seek couselling to be enabled to turn away from sodomy

http://www1.u.tv/news/LocalNews/index.asp?id=89496

your support is requested on the message board attached to the story-it is overrun with homo apologists at the minute, and the anti voice is a minority.A few well placed comments from some of this board's eloquent contributors would help to even the balance!

thank you people of SA.

nil points for purgatory credit today,I'm afraid

must try harder!!

You might not have noticed, but nobody here actually believes/cares what you think about the vatican and nazis........ some in the vatican also believe culpability!! LOL

all those pagan popes were, let's not forget "vicars of christ" on earth -one minute there they are, dishing out "holy food" to all the huddled masses, next they're the dirt under your feet-do I detect more than a little hypocrisy-or is it just good old fashioned back peddaling?Maybe we just hadn't heard that "false, lying, waste of protoplasm" was just another official title for the pope....

"vicar of christ"-your title, not ours of course

keep believing that good works and ongoing sacrifices will get you into heaven-after a stint in non existent lala land,so your church can fleece more money out of your family to buy your way out....poor satan deluded fella.....

at least Lance attempts a coherent argument, even if he does equivocate.....I'll give him that much at least!

You seem to have misunderstood what I said, GK. What you write above is the heretical Montanist view, not the RC view.
no Lance-you're not following me.What I am getting at is what about all the poor dupes who go to these guys believing the RC line and thinking everything is ok.

So are priests actually carrying out the dogma in good standing,or are they not?Because if they are, that's hypocrisy I'm sure even you would agree, and if they aren't,then the people have been fooled,as far as your lot are concerned...

what about the "hypothetical case" of,say,(a) cardinal(s) who is guilty of similar crimes, who then votes on the election of a new pope.....in that event, the head of your church who allegedly speaks "infallibly" ex cathedra, has been assisted into that position by a child abuser......

not pretty

Which of the over 33k Protestant cults are you referring to?
ahhh the babylonian paganist returns looking for more "get out of non existent purgatory" points

old GW has a lot more in common with the pagan popes,it seems-everybody's going to heaven apparently!!Well there's a thing!!

US presidents are all members of the skull and bones club....like RC's,just because someone says they are Christian, doesn't neccessarily make it so...

Lyn, a priest commits sacrilege if he celebrates Mass and confects the Body and Blood of Christ while in a state of serious sin. But that in no way affects the validity of the Mass or the graces it confers. Those depend on Christ's Sacrifice on Calvary.
The view that the validity of the Mass or sacraments depends on the holiness of the minister is the heresy known as Montanism (a very early heresy).
so,basically what you're saying is that according to the RC's, people who went to these priests "to confess their sins" were in fact doing nothing of the sort, and "last rites" for the dying were also totally in vain-not that they are valid in any case, but people were totally deceived?

how can anyone call Jesus out of heaven when he is sat down at the right hand of God?

sin is sin-the only righteousness we have is the righteousness of Jesus Christ imputed to us......

it's crazy to think that the Lord Himself would accede to the "command" of mere men to leave heaven and to appear at the behest of priests worldwide like some bizarre cabaret act-it's similar to new agers calling up "guardian angels" for the gullible

Christ's sacrifice on Calvary does not need to be repeated by a mere priest-

It would be far simpler for them to require registration on the forum so that people have to sign in. Most forums do that. They already have the functionality available, they make it available to those who elect to give them a monthly subscription so it could be extended to everybody at nil cost.
Banning those who reply to themselves is more of a sledgehammer approach.
there are a couple of measures the admins could take,as you suggest

I think a "3 strikes and you're out" system would be a good idea....3 infractions against the rules or ethos of the forum, and your IP address is barred....

Patrick, you might want to reconsider. There are many monikers also used here by those of the Reformed tradition. Quite often many monikers are used by a few posters, that it appear the Reformed carry much weight. No one is calling for their banning, in spite of how they impersonate and support "each other"
now that IS funny!! LOL

I didn't see that other thread, but I figured as I was writing the above that many or most Protestant churches would be considered to have gone off the rails in some way.
And I don't much care about what certain
RC clergy did or didn't do, because you can find RC clergy doing bad things all the way through the history of the RCC.
Any organization that has human beings as members with have members doing bad things. If those particular people don't mind going to hell, then that's their business.
but those same priests are, according to your beliefs, supposedly acting as "intercessor" and taking confessions from people, and allegedly transforming bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus Christ

If that isn't a conflict ,I don't know what is-how can anyone just gloss over it like that?

GK, I've never heard of any of those things (though I know the name of Faulhaber), and to tell the truth, I don't particularly care.
It's interesting that no one ever talks about the Protestant churches during the Third Reich, apart from mentioning the bravery of certain outstanding individuals.
Does it mean that the Protestant churches are of no importance, and that no one expects anything of them?
I'm sorry Lance,but you're greatly mistaken

If you look around,it was mentioned on a thread here the other day,and the apostate "Protestant" churches got as big a slating as your guys.....

why don't you care about any of those things-are you scared of what you might find if you dig a little?

Lance

Are you aware of the Jesuit connection between Jacobus von Hauck, the Archbishop of Bamberg, and Reichsfuhrer Heinrich Himmler? Do you know that the Canon to Munich Archbishop Michael von Faulhaber, was Wilhelm August Patin who was not only a Dominican priest and an SS officer, but was Himmler's cousin? With the oversight of these highly trained priests, the 28 year-old Reichsfuhrer Himmler patterned the SS after the Jesuit Order.

Are you aware that the Archbishops of Freiburg and Brunswick were high ranking officers in Himmler's SS according to SS General Baron Frederick von Eberstein when under questioning at Nuremburg?

RE telling bishops what to do---If the pope is so "limited" as to what he can tell them to do,why did the order to cover up the paedophile scandal come from the top?

Suzy, no clarification should be required as I did not say or imply that Northern Ireland was not part of the UK. What I said in parentheses was "(Northern Ireland is not in GB)".

GK - Your geography is correct and in perfect agreement with what I said. Since we are agreed on geography why do you think you are half wrong?
My main clause was in reply to Jim's assertion that Northern Ireland was not in the process of giving in to an EU Directive because they had actually given in to a Great Britain (sic) bill (sic). Jim's supporting evidence came from a period of Direct Rule and therefore I do not agree that it can be asserted that "Northern Ireland" in any meaningful sense "gave in".

my bad-just misunderstood the way you wrote it-I thought you were saying NI was not even in the UK.....

Dawkins is one of the most arrogant self opinionated people I have ever heard

He has no idea of what it is he is criticising, and when you listen to his straw man theology it's easy to see why
