The same Jesus who said âFollow me, and I will make you fishers of menâ also said âHim that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.â Isnât it wonderful that the Master Fisherman never throws any back?
Do you mean the same Jimmy Carter who recently let a sodomite help lead his Sunday school class, Jiminy? The Jimmy Carter who is a âChristianâ who supports gay marriage? No thanks. Heâs a joke and, like all liberals including yourself, not a very funny one.
Jim, you know that Trump is perfect in every wayâif you donât believe it, just ask him. Youâre just insanely jealous because you arenât infallible like he is. If heâs reelected, maybe you can get a job helping him draft some of his profound and incisive tweets. I know that would give you the sense of fulfillment you are so obviously lacking. Donât hate the man just because he has super powers that are absent in your own life. If you work hard and keep your nose clean, at least you may someday rise above your current position as a rat groomer.
In 1799, Jedediah Morse said, âWhenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of governmentâand all blessings which flow from themâmust fall with them.â We have already witnessed the collapse of the pillars, and the building is falling all around us. God save America.
A movie about conservatives murdering liberals would fall into the categories of horror and social commentary and would spark outrage. A movie about liberals bumping off conservatives is considered comedy. Itâs sort of like when a black guy mocks the way white people talk, itâs humorous, but when a white guy imitates the way some black people talk itâs clearly racist. Or when a church marquee points out in moderate terms that the sodomite lifestyle is sinful, thatâs hatred, but when the queers beat up little old ladies and spray paint obscenities on church buildings, they are merely âprotestors.â
In May, three men told me they trusted Jesus Christ to save them after reading a gospel tract that I had given them. I know some will say, âThat is not possible!â Well, you may as well argue with the fellow in the Bible who was born blind and later said, âAllâs I know is, I used to be blind, and now I ainât!â (King Tim Version). I got saved reading a gospel tract. God had been plowing up my heart, but somebody had to come along and throw in some seed. I suspect it was the same with those three guys. I have four gardens, and no matter how much I prepare the soil, unless I plant some seeds nothing is going to grow (except weeds). Donât underestimate the power of even one verse of scripture to accomplish the purpose God has ordained for it in the life of any individual. Isaiah 28:24-26 makes it clear that there comes a time to quit plowing and throw some peas in the rows. Well-written gospel tracts containing scripture, and not just clever wording, make some mighty fine peas.
Words without definitions are like lengthy quotes posted by a certain Nebraskan pest: utterly meaningless. Here are some definitions from the American University Student Handbook: DiversityâForcing everyone to think and behave exactly the same. InclusionâSteadfastly refusing to include any consideration of Christians.
