After thought on this is that during the time of Hilter’s evil reign Bibles were taken away from those going into the death camps. Through a miracle Corrie Ten Boon was able to hide hers from the guards. And what a help she was to the other prisoners and encouragement. I have a memory problem at times but so strange how my memories of scriptures that have been read will come to mind when needed to help someone or explain something or just whenever in a discussion. It never ceases to amaze me.

I have read the KJV for so long that I still use thou and thee and add th to the ending of words that the correct speller on my IPhone has given up on trying to help me out on here.

I was thinking along the same lines, trying. Pray for those in persecution now because it’s slowly beginning to happen here as well . Christians are under fire now and it is going to only get worse. We need to work while it’s still day before the night cometh when no man can work.

I just finished the sermon by Steve Lyon on here called Boundaries and it was something that I found helpful. I will listen to part 2 and part 3. Thanks Trying for the information. Blessings.
I agree Tim, that’s why I don’t interact with certain ones. It does no good whatsoever. So I say whatever and leave it for whoever to take or leave.

Amen to all three posts and so thankful that we have people like Franklin Graham to be an encouragement in what happened on that football ball. God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. The devil knows he has a short time left and he goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

Btw, that was in response to LB challenging someone to show her one scripture where Jesus loved sinners. That is interesting since the Pharisees condemned Jesus because He ate with sinners !! And he won them with His love for them. Some of the people that the Spirit has sent for me to witness to were first a person I had befriended. I didn’t have a relationship so to speak because I was never able to until they became a Christian as a result of my witness. You can’t be or do the things they can do. It’s called being led of the Spirit.

God loved the rich young ruler and was saddened when he walked away because he loved his riches more than Christ.
He loved the woman caught in adultery and saved her from the murderous crowd.
He loved Matthew, the hated tax collector that was taking money from the Jews.
He told Nicodemous to climb down from the tree and come eat with him.
That was one of the things that the Pharisees accusation included he ate with sinners!!
One He ate with was Mary from whom He had cast out 7 demons and was condemned because he allowed her to pour expensive oil on his head. Another Mary washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair.
Paul on his way to Damascus to bring Christians to be jailed. Jesus appeared to him and saved him and sent him to be a witness to the Gentiles. Interesting story of how this came about and how he was sent to Barnabus first. Can’t help but see the irony of that as later they had a falling out over his nephew, John Mark.
These are just some that the Holy Spirit brought to mind maybe you can think of others. God has two sides love and wrath like the story I told about the drowning boy. Things I don’t understand I leave in the hands of my loving Savior and go about my business of helping others find His love as well.

I was reading Acts 15 in my devotional yesterday and then Matthew Henry’s commentary on that chapter. We come to vs36-41 which had to do with a private quarrel between two ministers, no less than Paul and Barnabas, yet made to end well.It had to do with John Mark going on the next mission with them. Paul said no, Barnabus yes. We see that the best of men are but men, subject to like passion as we are. Perhaps there were faults on both sides, as usual in such contentions. Yet we are not to think it strange, if there are differences among wise and good men. It will be so while we are in this imperfect state; we shall never be all of one mind till we come to heaven. But what mischief the remainders of pride and passion which are found even in good men do in the world, and do in the church!

A man was driving down the road when he saw some one swimming in a lake . He was yelling help. He jumped out of the car and ran to where the boy was drowning. He saved the boys life.
Years later this boy became a man who had gotten in trouble with the law and was brought before the Judge. The man recognizes the Judge as being the one who rescued him from death. He reminded the Judge of this in hopes of being freed.
The Judge said to him, I was your saver then but now I am your Judge, take him and put him away, jailer. The gospel is so simple a child can understand but like the Bible says Christ the cornerstone of the gospel is what people stumble over. It’s pride that causes the divisions . Thinking their way the only way.

Very disturbing and it is happening in churches every where. Pastor have affairs and youth leaders abuse their kids they lead and are suppose to learn things of God from. A few months back on front page of local newspaper a married youth pastor had affairs with 15 year old girls and at the time of arrest had his own church going. Another pastor had to leave a local church because of an affair and he now has his own church in the local mall .Satan has placed Tares in churches every where. Jesus said, not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter in .. these things are happening more and more frequently. Teachers males and females having affairs with pupils at young ages in school and one in our town was caught in a Christian school so parents need to be aware and alert but still kids won’t always tell on their abusers.

Big Amen on your comment . Connor 7, you do have spiritual insight and you have asked for prayers for your home state California and I do. God has placed you there with the good news and I’m sure you are a light in that place of the world and the darker the place the brighter your light will shine!! I felt led today to share the devotional by Charles Spurgeon which helped me so much I wanted to share on here for anyone reading might benefit from it. God bless Connor, keep letting your light shine, friend.

The scripture verse for this devotional by Charles Spurgeon:
A Trustworthy Name
I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the Lord.

God will always have a trusting people, and these will be an afflicted and poor people. Little as the world thinks of them, their being left in the midst of a nation is a channel of untold blessings to it.Here we have the conserving salt which keeps in check the corruption which is in the world through lust.
Again the question comes home to each one of us. Am I one of them? Am I afflicted by the sin within me and around me? Am I poor in spirit, poor spiritually in my own judgement? Do I trust in the Lord? This is my main business. Jesus reveals the name, the character, the person of God; am I trusting in Him? If so, I am left in this world for a purpose. Lord, help me to fulfill it. Charles Spurgeon

Actually, I understand what God has shown me to be truth and that is hard to explain to someone that listens to other voices and not God. Paul in his letters to Timothy addresses this very subject which we are now studying in Sunday School. To my way of thinking how do you know you are the elect?? Then Jesus’s blood only covers those that believe a certain way, go to a certain church and if you can’t find the exact right one, then you stay home and bury that talent, and we know how that parable went according to Jesus or maybe you don’t. Sorry, the things Christ looks at is your belief in Him and trust His blood to cover your sins. His blood shed on the cross plus nothing equals salvation, fruits of that will show the world who you are in Christ.

Finally, money doesn’t rule in this situation. My hometown and memories of bonfires and games at the Crimson Tide stadium. So kudos for your standing against the evil that’s taking over our land.

I received that issue and read the article. All the articles are helpful and uplifts my spirit. I give to his ministry ever so often because I know that money goes to good causes. When the tornado hit my hometown a few years ago Tuscaloosa, Alabama. My niece contacted me on the computer and walked me through the devastation and when the video showed the street I was raised on and I was heartbroken because the only house standing was my parents home. Franklin Graham and his team were there to minister and I saw him being interviewed later and members of his team. I am very careful who I give my money to and only as God leads. There are wolves out there and if you live close to God, read and believe His word, pray then the Holy Spirit within us will guide and lead us and keep us on that Calvary Road. It’s narrow and it’s the same road our Savior trod . My favorite song.
