This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon was given by Pastor Steve and was titled "Unvarnished Christianity" from Mark 8:34-9:1. The sermon was about what Jesus stated it means to be a follower of Him. If anyone would genuinely follow Jesus he or she will be one who chooses the way of the cross, one who puts eternal matters before what matters now and one who is not ashamed of Jesus.

The Word of God is sufficient on its own without having to decorate it with worldly elements to make it more palatable. It's time to quit taking God's name in vain and imposing Christ on that which is heathen. Yes, Christians, the disciples and Apostles never needed pagan holy days for evangelical tools.

All liberal Catholics should be told to either fall in line with Catholic teaching and be against abortion, homosexuality(and other perversions associated with homosexuality) and every other perversion under the sun or be excommunicated from the Catholic Church.
Sunday 1 December at my Baptist Church the sermon was given by Associate Pastor Neil and was titled "Dirty Jobs" from Luke 2:8-20. The sermon described the Nativity story from the perspective of the shepherds. After the 3 songs at the beginning there were Bible verses read and then there was the lighting of the first candle on the Advent Wreath.
