Praying for Leaders
....
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity" (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

As believers, we have the responsibility to be praying for our rulers. We are to pray that God gives them wisdom in the decisions they must make. We pray for them so that we will have the type of environment that will help the ministry of the Gospel. And of course, we should pray for their salvation.

God has given us, in this nation, an environment in which we can freely proclaim the Gospel. When I look back on the last 25 years of my ministry, I notice that very little has changed because of who was President or who was in Congress. Someday, however, that may change. As Christians we should not take for granted our liberties to preach the Gospel. Instead, we should thank God for these opportunities and pray that He will appoint leaders that will keep providing an environment that helps promote the spread of the Gospel....

Even aside from impeachment and 25th Amendment talk, Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part.

I seriously doubt that Rick Klein made the comment that "The New German" accused him of, It was probably something more like the above that got twisted out of shape to appeal to Trump supporters.

Mike, videos can be manipulated so just because it's a video doesn't guarantee that it's showing what it should be ❗👎

I would also add this.

An article from "The Atlanta Journal-Constitution"
~~~~~~~
Yes, it should always be remembered---
"A Christian should view the separation of church and state as a good thing. Those who wish to combine church and state usually do so thinking that Christianity can help stamp out evil, if the church is in charge. But history shows that the melding of church and state gives rise to corruption, totalitarianism, and oppression. Christians can and should be involved in the political process, just as anyone else. But Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36), and Christians understand that enforcing Christianity through a national church [or political party ❗👎] is not the answer to the world’s problems"
Twitter has permanently suspended the account of US President Donald Trump, citing the "risk of further incitement of violence" following a riot at the Capitol that left a police officer dead.
Key points:
• In a statement, Twitter said the language used by Mr Trump could be interepreted as "support for those committing violent acts"
• It said plans for future armed protests had begun profliferating "on and off Twitter"
• Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat temporarily locked the President's accounts shortly after the Capitol riot
In a statement, released just one day after the President's account was reinstated following a 12-hour freeze, the social media giant said it had undertaken a close review of Mr Trump's tweets, "specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter"....
"Trump recorded conciliatory video under pressure from top aides -sources"
The above is an interesting article by Reuters. Apparently some of the aides of Trump persuaded him to take a more reasoned approach to what he was confronting.
Hmm, great minds think alike, The Wall Street Journal and I agreed that Trump should resign and he could make a lot of problems for himself disappear.
Mike Pence could also pardon him and it would be a meaningful one rather then Trump trying to pardon himself.
He will probably most likely be impeached again if he doesn't do this.
Mike, well actually Trump has a lot to worry about, but depending on how the Democrats go about it, he may have less to worry about because they'll irritate the Republicans in the Senate. The best thing that Mr Trump has going for is he's only got about 13 days left in office
What thesis Neil? Usually what the "New German" which is the mouthpiece for the John birth society is nonsense I'll agree to that. All this fixed election I do has been discredited by former attorney general Barr and the Secretary of State for Georgia. Now if you say that's my thesis I think it's already been proven ❗👍
To be fair to the Freemasons and the History Channel I should point out this:
Jessica Pearce Rotondi wrote:
....
4. The Catholic Church Forbids Members from Being Freemasons.
While Freemasonry is not itself a religion, all its members believe in a Supreme Being, or "Grand Architect of the Universe.” Members come from many faiths, but one denomination in particular bars any crossover. The Catholic Church first condemned Freemasonry in 1738, prompted by concern over Masonic temples and the secret rituals performed within them. In the 19th century, the Vatican even called the Masons "the Synagogue of Satan."
....
excerpt from, " 7 Things You May Not Know About Freemasons"
Somewhat interesting that a bishop or two back of the diocese that covers Lincoln Nebraska, came out strongly against the Masons and I think it even went national. Well, I've never been a mason, and I really don't think Christians should be--but then Christian should never be Catholic ❗👎
Neil, I have often pointed out the importance of the Freemasons in American History. Being a human organization they certainly have their faults. In fact they aren't the power they were in the late 18th and early 19th century. Here's something from a secular source and you might have seen it on the History Channel at one time I know I have--but here's a written account.
Mike, what a person gets when they're doing something illegal may not be what they deserve, but she shouldn't have been there in the first place. The policeman who got killed, however, was legally obliged to be there.
Yes, I agree with you on that point about Mr Trump.
I suppose through the years I don't know if I've had many kind words from Mike Pence -- some but not many. I don't know if a person should even be congratulated for doing this constitutional duty, but vice-president Pence did do his duty. It certainly could make a canidate for President for 2024❗
After Trump insulted all the Republicans and his last rally in Georgia which was all about him, they didn't need to do anything dishonest for the Democrats to win. Trump is a great motivator for people to vote Democratic❗
Gay Allen, I give you this reference, but perhaps it's as much as for other people.
"The Bible Knowledge Commentary - Old & New Testament
"John F. Walvoord & Roy B. Zuck, ed.
"Description
"2 volumes -- written and edited by Dallas Seminary faculty; members -- verse-by-verse analysis -- NIV -- historical, grammatical, and premillennial perspectives -- discusses how books of the Bible unforld and how each part fits within the whole -- introduction, outline, commentary, bibliography, and cross-references for each book -- explains problem passages, alleged discrepancies, customs, geographical lications, and key Hebrew and Aramaic words -- maps, charts, and diagrams"
https://tinyurl.com/yxlnw9zt
Well just from the description you can see what would be both pleasing and displeasing to you, Gay❗
It's a 2 volume set, so it takes up space and has heft to it.
It does expect the user of it to be using the NIV like the 1984 version.
I don't like the 2 vol. part of it. The books themselves are well built. You can get used versions of it for a lot less money on Amazon, and they could be in very good condition because they look like it could take some physical abuse.
I like the NIV, and the editors are Dispensational.--you won't?
So are many Trump supporters, Timothy. It wasn't Democrats breaking into the capital building terrorizing people.
Matthew 7:6
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."--
https://tinyurl.com/has82mk (NASB)
Barnes' New Testament Notes wrote:
...Dogs signify men who spurn, oppose, and abuse that doctrine; men of peculiar sourness and malignity of temper, who meet it like growling and quarrelsome curs, 2Pe 2:22 Rev 22:15. Swine denote those who would trample the precepts under feet; men of impurity of life; corrupt, polluted, profane, obscene, and sensual; who would not know the value of the gospel, and who would tread it down as swine would pearls, Pro 11:22 2Pe 2:22. The meaning of this proverb then is, do not offer your doctrine to those violent and abusive men, who would growl and curse you; nor to those peculiarly debased and profligate, who would not perceive its value, would trample it down, and abuse you....
--"Matthew 7:6"
QC, the people who have supported Trump such as Franklin Graham I consider gross hypocrites, supporting Trump is about as anti-Christian as you can get❗
